Job Summary:
Lead Instructors at Correlation One are responsible for delivering high-quality, live, virtual instruction and partnering with company personnel to drive exceptional learning outcomes. Their main focus as educators is to conduct large synchronous online lectures on technical content, training anywhere from 100 to 8,000+ diverse Fellows at a time, depending on the program. This role involves preparing and leading virtual classroom sessions, collaborating with operations personnel, and contributing to the overall success of the program.
Program Specific Information:
- Program Start Date: July 15th
- Program End Date: Oct 18th
- Weekly Lecture Cadance: Mondays & Fridays; 3:00pm - 6:00pm ET
Virtual Classroom Leadership:
- Prepare and lead virtual classroom sessions for a range of Fellows, with a target learner audience of 125 total
- Deliver instruction on key concepts related to Operations Leadership areas, tailoring content to match skills and interests.
- Oversee the management of class time Q&A and monitor chat flow, and overall class energy and engagement dynamics
Collaboration:
- For dedicated “Capstone Sessions,” that occur throughout the full duration of the program, sit on a panel where each Learner will present their end of program capstone project – presentations occur both inside and out of structured lecture time illustrated above.
- Required presence during outside the lecture times listed above will be determined in partnership with you based on your schedule availability
- Collaborate closely with Correlation One operations personnel to ensure smooth program delivery and adherence to schedules.
- Be flexible in contributing to classes during weekdays and/or weekends, as program schedules vary.
- Assist in lesson design, development, and improvement which may include tracking edits, suggestions, or changes to curriculum as needed

- Diligently and adequately prepare for lectures to ensure the delivery of high-quality content.

- Be highly responsive and empathetic to Fellows, providing thoughtful answers and assistance throughout the lesson
- Adjust the lesson pace and presentation to meet the needs of diverse Fellows while also maintaining responsibility for timely delivery of the prepared content.
- Exhibit an energy, pacing, and ability to make complex topics accessible and maintain strong learner engagement
Communication:
- Communicate respectfully, recognizing that online or written communication may lack tone.
- Maintain extra communicative contact with Correlation One personnel.
Positive Attitude:
- Foster a healthy learning environment by maintaining a positive attitude and promoting a culture of learning.
Course Improvement:
- Contribute to course improvement by providing thoughtful and transparent feedback to the Correlation One team.
Who you are
- As the Operations Leadership Lead Instructor, you are a seasoned professional with extensive expertise in the field of leadership, team and people management, and process improvement. With a solid background in both theoretical knowledge and practical application, you possess a deep understanding of various leadership principles, effective communication, and conflict management. Your passion for teaching and mentoring is evident through your ability to effectively convey complex concepts to students of all levels. As a dynamic leader, you are committed to empowering the next generation of Operation Leadership professionals with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in today's ever-evolving threat landscape.
Your expertise
- 4+ years of experience in leadership and development or operations leadership type role
- Supervision roles that have developed your skills around positively leading a team effectively and proficiency in administrative tasks.
- Previous experience in roles similar to Amazon’s Process Assistant role, Team Lead roles, Shift Supervisor positions, and other workplace leadership roles will be helpful when being considered for this role
- Experience teaching content focused on leadership skills, conflict resolution, collaboration, people management, and time management
- Comfortable to be able to leave live breakout sessions and provide instant feedback
- Strong command of the English language, both oral and written
- Data-driven mindset and results-oriented
- Comfortable and excited to work in a dynamic start-up environment with a lean team
- Passionate about improving processes, self improvement and research
- Comfortable working remotely, independently, and self-motivated to succeed
Where you are
- This role is remote and can be located anywhere that is compatible with the EST time zone. We are headquartered in New York City and have office space in Midtown Manhattan.
Compensation
- Compensation is determined based on a broad range of factors; included but not limited to program, candidate's geographic location, experience and skills.
- $300-500 per lecture (this includes one hour of prep time)
