About the Role


We are seeking a seasoned Strategic Account Executive with a robust background in SaaS sales to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on selling to enterprise-level companies, driving high-value deals, and collaborating closely with the internal sales support team to ensure successful customer onboarding and long-term satisfaction. Your ability to work independently, coupled with your experience in the Fintech or Payments industry, will be pivotal in expanding our footprint and achieving our growth targets.

What You'll Do:


  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans targeting enterprise-level clients to achieve and exceed revenue goals.
  • Drive top of the funnel by prospecting, generating leads, and nurturing relationships with potential clients, effectively communicating the value proposition of Plooto.
  • Cultivate strong, long-term client relationships by providing exceptional support throughout the sales process.
  • Drive consistent sales success by meeting and exceeding sales targets, leveraging a deep understanding of the product and market to identify and convert high-potential leads.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, offering insights on how our Plooto can address their business challenges and foster growth. Regularly follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify cross selling opportunities.
  • Understand and navigate the complexities of complicated deal negotiations, ensuring that all internal stakeholders are apprised of any potential opportunities or challenges that may be anticipated through the process.
  • Identify and engage with key stakeholders in large organizations, understanding their complex business needs and presenting tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with customer success team to ensure seamless customer onboarding and high adoption rates.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with team members and other departments to align on strategy and execution.
  • Analyze market trends and customer feedback to provide insights and drive continuous improvement.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Provide insights and optimization via regular reports on sales activity, pipeline status, and market conditions to senior management.

Your Background:


  • 8+ years of professional sales experience, with a proven track record in SaaS.
  • Extensive experience selling to enterprise-level companies, particularly in the accounting and payments space.
  • Proven track record of consistent sales success, having been part of the President's Club or recognized as a top achiever in previous roles.
  • Demonstrated success in working with internal stakeholder teams to drive customer success and retention.
  • Proven experience selling to companies such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, and NetSuite, or similar
  • Experience with Fintech or Payments companies is highly desirable.
  • Strong history of working independently and managing complex sales cycles.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities.

Bonus Points:


  • Experience working with clients in both Canada and the USA.
  • Familiarity with cash flow management solutions and financial automation tools.
  • Experience selling subscription-based products.
