About the Role
Vidyard is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst (6 month contract) to join our RevOps team to support us as we transition between BI tools (Looker; exploring Metabase). Reporting to the Sr. Director of Revops, you will work closely with our Platform Engineering and GTM teams to build relevant reporting in our new BI tool. Our intention is to: audit our existing GTM dashboards; rebuild existing business critical dashboards; design and build net new dashboards based on business priorities and go-to-market team needs.This is a remote role open to candidates located in Canada.
About the Team
Our growing RevOps team consists of a diverse and passionate group of individuals across sales operations, marketing operations, systems and tools. Our mission is to enable predictable and scalable revenue growth for Vidyard. We do this by partnering closely with GTM teams across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success as well as Product, Finance and Data Engineering to develop the strategy, processes, and analytics that inform our go-to-market motion.
What You’ll Work On
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and analytics teams to understand their reporting needs and design effective BI Tool solutions
- Build, improve, and maintain BI Tool reports and dashboards in support of our go-to-market teams (primarily Sales and Marketing)
- Monitor and optimize the performance of BI Tool reports
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or errors related to BI Tool reports and data
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all reports and dashboards
- Communicate findings and feedback effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Develop and lead training on BI tool best practices
- Document processes, best practices, and user guides
- Continuously enhance and automate BI reporting processes to efficiency and usability
What You’ll Bring to this Role and Your New Team:
- Must have 3+ years of experience implementing and managing BI platforms for business intelligence, data applications, and embedded analytics
- Experience with Looker
- Experience with Metabase is optional
- Must have strong expertise in SQL, preferably across multiple dialects
- Strong analytical skills
- Capable of solving complex problems and creating visualizations to speak to business operators to empower better decision-making
- Ability to be collaborative and work across multiple teams
- Strong oral and written communication skills (English) to support documentation and requirements gathering with cross-functional stakeholders
Our Tech Stack
- Currently using Looker (a cloud-based business intelligence (BI) platform that explores and analyzes data), but exploring moving to a new BI tool (potentially Metabase)
- We feed Product and CRM (Salesforce) data into our BI tool via our data warehouse using Redshift
