TAs play a critical role in teaching ~20 - 40 learners in Correlation One’s virtual Data Analytics training program. The TA commitment for our Data Analytics training program will be for the duration of 16 weeks per program. TAs will be expected to support synchronous sessions as well as provide asynchronous support to Fellows to ensure their success in our training program. ** Please note that applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and roles are filled on a first come first serve basis.
Program Details
- The program will be held from July 16th - November 14th. Sessions will take place Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-8pm ET.
Management and Support (During Program):
- Attend all LIVE lectures and provide support for the training program as listed below:
- Live Training Program(4 hours per week)
- Tuesday and Thursdays
- Provide one hour of “Drop - In Office Hours” per week (1 hour per week)
- Attend the TA Weekly Meeting (30 min each week)
- Be available for 1:1 office hour requests with assigned learners based on availability. You may set these hours within our parameters, for your convenience. (up to max 6 hours per week)
- Complete grading of Fellow’s deliverables (2 hours each week)
- Work with fellow instructors and the Correlation One team on ways to improve learner experience
Class support on non-lecture days:
- Monitor your Slack channel to answer Learners’ questions
- Review the materials for the week so you are prepared to answer questions
- Contribute to course design improvement through thoughtful feedback to Correlation One team
- Participate in the weekly meeting (time TBD)
- Submit weekly write-ups summarizing the week’s accomplishments and challenges. This is due by Monday at 8pm EST each week
- Monitor the #extra-help channel on Slack throughout the day to answer Fellows’ questions
Cyber Coach:
- Upon completion of the program, there is an opportunity to continue on and support learners as a Cyber Coach. During this time, the learners’ will have the opportunity to schedule time to meet with the Cyber Coach to discuss their capstone project. The Cyber Coach will support the learner in identifying a real business problem and support them in identifying how to best solve the problem using data analytics skills. We anticipate you would only need to be available for a few hours per week.
- This part-time, contract role would run from November 2024 - May 2024. In the application questions, there will also be a place to indicate if you are interested in this opportunity.

- Experience operating in a fully virtual environment.

Your expertise
- 2+ years of experience in the Information Security field (or another related field) with a degree or strong credentials
- Degree in a technical field
- CompTIA Security+ certification or another related certification
- Previous learner support experience, preferably in a remote environment
Where you are
- This role is remote and can be located anywhere that is compatible with the EST time zone. We are headquartered in New York City and have office space in Midtown Manhattan.
Compensation
- Minimum Base: $4,800
- Max bonus potential: $1,200
- You can receive up to this amount, although it is not guaranteed. The amount you receive is based on your performance, as determined by Correlation One. Performance includes, but is not limited to, (a) Satisfactory completion of the Job Responsibilities, (b) Satisfaction of the Fellows you directly manage, as determined through the survey feedback at the end of the Program and other sources of feedback, (c) Engagement with Correlation One and the Fellows through the platforms utilized during the Program.
- Office hour compensation: Maximum of 4 hours per week at $40/hr
- Office hour based compensation will be paid on bi-weekly cadence along with base compensation
