Hadrian - Manufacturing the Future
Hadrian builds software-defined high precision component factories for the top aerospace companies in the world. After a successful customer beta phase, we are substantially scaling our operations to our second factory (based in Torrance) and are in the final stretch of building our core software engineering and product team from whom the future of Hadrian will be built upon. This team will leverage various current and advanced technologies and build custom in house software solutions to help improve, automate and scale the future of manufacturing in the U.S.We are in search of individuals with the drive to augment manufacturing, helping enable our engineers build complex, yet elegant software as well as the machinists who have a passion to push the trade forward.We've raised >$200m to achieve this vision, with multiple rounds from Lux Capital, A16Z, Founders Fund, Construct Capital, Caffeinated Capital and more.We are seeking a motivated Senior Accountant to join Hadrian and lead essential finance processes as we grow our team and gear up for multi-factory expansion.
This role is crucial in refining our finance processes and ensuring timely month-end financial reporting. You will gain broad exposure to inventory, costing, revenue, capital markets, and key company metrics tracked by leadership. Hadrian is revolutionizing the manufacture of critical parts for the aerospace, space, and defense industries. Hadrian is automating the manufacture of critical parts for the aerospace, space and defense industry, and our high mix / high volume production environment creates a unique challenge, as well as an opportunity to automate our cost accounting processes in the same way we have automated our operations. Our Finance team values creative problem-solving and cross functional empathy in managing our complex business.
This position offers leadership exposure, opportunities for growth into senior roles within the Finance team, and will report directly to Hadrian’s Controller.
In this role you will:
- Own explicit areas of the Company’s financials while having a wide exposure to all of the items on the Company’s balance sheet and income statement
- Assist in ensuring a timely and accurate month end closing calendar. Owning a variety of reconciliations and processes
- Work with Controller on Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly reporting requirements to executive management, investors, and auditors
- Design, document, present, and implement accounting policies. Own the changes and the outcomes of your work
- Work closely with supply chain, operations, and software development teams to unlock operational efficiencies and new ways of understanding the Company’s operations
- Involvement in ad-hoc technical accounting implementations, projects, and requests that have high visibility
- Aid as needed with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other operational accounting issues as they arise
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of core accounting concepts as pertains to manufacturing companies
- Understanding of activity based costing and the different levers that affect product cost
- Detail oriented and a persistence for uncovering the why to accounting and financial questions
- Ability to learn different aspects of a scaling operations
- Public Accounting experience (Hadrian is open to hiring directly out of Public Accounting).
- Can work from our Los Angeles Factory (Torrance)
- Must hold U.S. citizenship or compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) requirements

Preferred Qualities / Admired Skills:
- Any level of SQL or programming language
- NetSuite or other mid-market ERPs
- Experience with ASC 606/340/842
- Managing sections of a big 4 audit
- Software implementation involvement
Compensation and Benefits
For this role, the target salary range is $100,000 - $130,000 (actual range may vary based on experience). This is the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future.
