Job Summary:


Lead Instructors at Correlation One are responsible for delivering high-quality, live, virtual instruction and partnering with company personnel to drive exceptional learning outcomes. Their main focus as educators is to conduct large synchronous online lectures on technical content, training anywhere from 100 to 8,000+ diverse Fellows at a time, depending on the program. This role involves preparing and leading virtual classroom sessions, collaborating with operations personnel, and contributing to the overall success of the program.

Program Specific Information:


  • We are currently hiring instructors in anticipation of programs that will be launching in August. Lectures take place two times per week, for two hours each day. Depending on the client, lectures are either in the evening EST or during standard business hours EST. We will further discuss your availability and confirm an opportunity that aligns.

Virtual Classroom Leadership:


  • Prepare and lead virtual classroom sessions for a range of Fellows, which may vary in size from 200 to 8,000+.
  • Deliver instruction on key concepts related to (insert program topic area) areas, tailoring content to match skills and interests.
  • Oversee the management of class time Q&A and monitor chat flow, and overall class energy and engagement dynamic

Collaboration:


  • Collaborate closely with Correlation One operations personnel to ensure smooth program delivery and adherence to schedules.
  • Be flexible in contributing to classes during weekdays and/or weekends, as program schedules vary.
  • Assist in lesson design, development, and improvement which may include tracking edits, suggestions, or changes to curriculum as needed

  • Interact professionally with Fellows, Correlation One staff, additional contractors, and guest speakers, maintaining a high level of courtesy and respect.

Lecture Preparation:

  • Diligently and adequately prepare for lectures to ensure the delivery of high-quality content. 

Dynamic Online PresenceResponsiveness and Empathy:

  • Be highly responsive and empathetic to Fellows, providing thoughtful answers and assistance throughout the lesson
  • Adjust the lesson pace and presentation to meet the needs of diverse Fellows while also maintaining responsibility for timely delivery of the prepared content.
  • Exhibit an energy, pacing, and ability to make complex topics accessible and maintain strong learner engagement

Communication:

  • Communicate respectfully, recognizing that online or written communication may lack tone.
  • Maintain extra communicative contact with Correlation One personnel.

Positive Attitude:

  • Foster a healthy learning environment by maintaining a positive attitude and promoting a culture of learning.

Course Improvement:

  • Contribute to course improvement by providing thoughtful and transparent feedback to the Correlation One team.

Who you are


  • As the Lead Instructor for the IT Business Analyst Training Program, you are a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in the field of IT business analysis. Your comprehensive knowledge of business needs assessment, data and process modeling, data visualization, vendor solution management, and Agile methodologies enables you to provide an enriched learning experience. You excel in both theoretical understanding and practical application, ensuring that students are well-prepared to meet the demands of the industry. Your dedication to teaching and mentoring is evident through your ability to simplify complex concepts and engage students effectively. You are committed to fostering a dynamic learning environment that prepares students to excel as IT Business Analysts.

Your expertise 


  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Extensive knowledge of business needs assessment, process modeling, and requirements gathering techniques.
  • Proficiency in SQL and database management.
  • Experience with data visualization tools and techniques.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Familiarity with ITIL fundamentals and IT service management.
  • Proven experience with CASE tools and business analysis software.
  • Previous teaching or training experience in a professional or academic setting.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of making complex topics accessible.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with a focus on mentoring and developing others.

Where you are


  • This role is remote and can be located anywhere that is compatible with the EST time zone, with a preference for candidates located in the United States and Canada. We are headquartered in New York City and have office space in Midtown Manhattan.

Compensation


  • This role is compensated at $300/lecture.
