Description
Are you a technical PM with a passion for harnessing the power of analytics & ML to make sense of big data sets and drive innovation? We are looking for an analytical, and data-driven Principal Product Manager to join our team and own and build the Pricing Engine & ML that will solve upfront pricing and help eliminate the financial complexity of healthcare.
About Turquoise Health
At Turquoise Health we're working to make surprise healthcare bills a thing of the past by building software to make pricing clearer, simpler and lower costs. Our mission is to eliminate the financial complexity of healthcare. This role is critical to our mission. We've built a fully-remote and highly collaborative team of multi-talented professionals who share a passion for solving tough problems. Below is a list of ideal qualifications for this position. Don't meet every single one of them? That's okay! Studies show that BIPOC, people with disabilities, and LGBTQIA+ folks hesitate to apply for a position unless they meet 100% of the qualifications listed.
We encourage anyone to apply for all open roles. Building a truly diverse team is a challenge that we do not shy away from. Healthcare affects all people differently, but it significantly affects those in underserved communities. With a robust, diverse team, we are stronger and better equipped to change the future of healthcare for all.
Responsibilities
- Own and build the Pricing Engine & ML that will solve upfront pricing.
- Tasked with coalescing disparate datasets and creating algorithms that deliver upfront prices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners and stakeholders to develop a strategy for your domain aligned with company goals. Translate this strategy into a roadmap, requirements, and milestones.
- Partner closely with Engineering and Data Science to solve complex problems, driving the product development process from concept to launch, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products. Build the pricing engine and ship features that result in significant and measurable business impact.
- Take complex and ambiguous problems in a highly regulated domain, go deep and distill them into actionable solutions.
- Manage the API including data delivered to the API, maintaining uptime and performance SLAs and manage the costs associated with API usage.
- Understand, track and improve key product and business metrics. Iterate on the features using data and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and optimization, and ensure that the features delight our customers and surpass our business goals.
Here’s what you bring to the role:
- 7+ years of hands-on product management experience, with a focus on data and analytics, preferably solving similar problems, and a proven track record of building successful products, preferably in a rapidly scaling startup environment.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to solve ambiguous problems and distill complex datasets into meaningful insights.
- Proven track record of successfully bringing products to market, from ideation to launch and beyond, delivering tangible business results.
- Strong technical background with a deep understanding of data, analytics and ML. Deep experience working with big, messy data sets, and data processing pipelines. Fluency in SQL, R and Python.
- Ability to define and track metrics to successfully launch and land high impact features.
- High attention to detail, strong bias for action and highly organized.
- Strong product sense and customer obsession.
- Great communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Soul player: you deeply care about the mission and the product.
- Relentlessly focused on customers’ needs, and thrive in working backward from the needs of your customers to build solutions that scale.
- Previous experience in building pricing engines, or previous experience in healthcare/highly regulated domains is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field or strong relevant work experience; advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is a plus.
