Our team has years of experience building and operating business-critical machine learning systems at leading tech companies like Uber, Google, Meta, Airbnb, Lyft, and Twitter.As a People Business Partner, you will drive strategic People initiatives and serve as a trusted advisor to our Tectonauts, fostering a high-performing, engaged, and enabled culture that aligns with the company’s goals and priorities.
You will collaborate closely with management & ICs across the organization to deeply understand our operations and priorities, in order to design, implement and scale our critical People Programs.
Responsibilities
- Gain a deep understanding of Tecton’s business, its unique operations, priorities, and needs to provide a consultative approach to cross-functional stakeholders
- Drive and execute successful delivery of critical People programs such as performance & talent management, career development, employee engagement, recognition & rewards initiatives, management excellence, and other key initiatives.
- Coach and advise managers on complex leadership and people matters, career path leveling, skills and professional development, and sensitive employee relations issues
- Establish yourself as a trusted advisor for all Tectonauts, from senior leaders to entry-level new hires, resolve challenges, and provide a first-class experience to our Tectonauts
- Partner cross-functionally to design and execute scalable People programs, systems, and tools that support key business objectives and drive organizational excellence
- Leverage organizational health data and KPIs to identify key opportunities, anticipate future challenges, and inform overall business strategy
- Other special projects, as assigned
Qualifications
- You have 4+ years of experience as a HR/People Business Partner, in high-growth companies scaling from ~50-500 people
- You have 2+ years of experience working with distributed teams of 100+
- You have hands-on experience in management/leadership development programs, performance management, and employee relations
- You are a first principles thinker, have a strong bias for action, and are data-driven when challenging conventional approaches to problem-solving
- You are assertive and humble, able to overcome resistance, effectively manage change, and can quickly develop the business sense to offer relevant solutions
- You excel in prioritizing workload and self-managing projects; demonstrating initiative and juggling multiple, competing priorities
- You are comfortable navigating ambiguity and operate well in a fast-paced, action-oriented dynamic environment
- Expertise in people systems & tools (we use: Lattice, SequoiaOne, Pave, LinkedIn Recruiter, Lever, Gem, Notion*)*
- Bonus: Active certification in PHR, SHRM-C, or SHRM-SCP

annually for employees based within California & New York.
