The incumbent technologies that cater to these customers are decades old, and drivers and fleets increasingly demand modern digital experiences and affordable and transparent financial services products. Coast's mission is to deliver them at a transformational scale, beginning with the Coast Fleet and Fuel Card built on a cutting-edge spend management platform.
Coast is looking for our first Demand Generation Manager, a pivotal role on our small marketing team. You’ll drive growth of our inbound self-service and sales-led motions by scaling existing channels and running experiments to establish new channels. This role requires a creative and strategic thinker who has a deep understanding of the buyer's journey, messaging, content, and distribution channels. Based on your keen knowledge of our product value and personas, you’ll craft campaigns for various marketing channels.

You’ll develop campaign concepts and messaging, write copy and design briefs, and work with content producers to deliver campaign assets to Performance Marketing for execution. Being successful in this role will require deep empathy for our customer and an eagerness to get to know our customers, the industries they work in, their challenges, and opportunities to serve them. We serve everyday businesses in the trades and transportation industries. From electrical contractors to pest control businesses, these businesses make our work possible and our lives more convenient.What you’ll do:

  • Own demand generation campaign strategy and results for several growing and new channels
  • Develop concepts, messaging, and ad copy for campaigns in your portfolio
  • Develop design briefs and work with designers to produce campaign deliverables 
  • Execute campaigns independently, via contractors, agencies, and internal resources as the team grows
  • Develop robust experimentation program for outbound email messaging 
  • Expand and own email nurture programs in partnership with product marketing and content marketing 
  • Develop paid social and display retargeting campaigns 
  • Continue to develop our account based marketing initiatives
  • Measure, analyze, report, and optimize the performance of demand gen programs
  • Work with the sales team to ensure end-to-end success of your campaigns

Who we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years of professional experience, 2+ years in B2B
  • Experience at a VC-backed startup with less than 100 employees 
  • You’re scrappy and motivated. You’re no stranger to rolling up your sleeves and writing copy or making edits in Figma. You can execute independently but you can also source and manage high-quality talent to scale your impact
  • You have a firm grasp of media buying and optimization in digital and offline channels
  • Experience with funnel metrics and levers to move the needle across the entire funnel
  • Proficiency in marketing automation systems (Hubspot) and ability to navigate Salesforce to pull reports on specific campaigns and understand the status of leads in the funnel.
  • Interpret data, create insights, and translate it into applicable changes
  • Strong project management skills to effectively deliver programs, and create alignment across groups

Compensation:


Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of our total compensation package that also includes benefits, signing bonus, and equity. Pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including scope and qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to other Coast employees. We expect the majority of the candidates who are offered roles at Coast to fall healthily within the range based on these factors.

  • Salary range: $120,000 - $150,000 annually
  • Signing bonus
  • Equity grant: commensurate with level determined at the discretion of the company, with meaningful potential upside given the company’s early stage
