Impact In This Role
The Data Engineering & Analytics team creates reports and dashboards to provide meaningful insights from the data warehouse. This team works very closely with cross-functional stakeholders, and leverages multiple different Business Intelligence (BI) technologies to achieve these goals. As a Data Analyst, you will support a wide range of cross functional stakeholders in the everyday understanding of our data warehouse and reporting environment. You will serve as a driver between the business and technology in understanding the business problems that need to be solved.
You will collect requirements, ensure consistency and adherence to company-wide definitions, and translate the functional requirements into technical details upon which data reports can be built. You will also ensure that the data reports comply with enterprise reporting standards. This is a ‘hands on’ role and is responsible for leading the collaboration with cross-functional peers to build dashboardsand reports to monitor progress, answer business questions, and ensure key management reports are available and accurate. You will partner with the Data Analytics Manager to support and scale our analytics. SQL should be your tool of choice when it comes to pulling datasets and you can paint a great visual picture of our complex data. You will collaborate with peer Engineering technical leads in many different disciplines, Product Owners and Business Analysts to drive workflows and with stakeholders to understand and measure company goals. You will mentor and shepherd best practices amongst the extended cross functional teams to ensure appropriate hygiene of Fictiv’s reporting environments and to allow users to be self-sufficient.
