About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and seasoned Account Executive with a proven track record in SaaS sales to join our team. This role will focus on driving growth and expanding our market presence within the SMB and mid-market segments. While experience in Fintech is not mandatory, a history of success in SMB sales is essential. You'll play a pivotal role in our mission to transform financial management for SMBs. As an Account Executive, you will support sales initiatives targeted at SMBs; focusing on driving growth and expanding our market presence.
Your expertise in selling subscriptions and experience within the Fintech or Payments industry will be crucial in delivering value to our clients.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in the development and execution of strategic sales plans to drive subscription sales, exceed targets, and nurture client relationships.
- Utilize a consultative approach to understand client needs and communicate the product value to successfully convert leads into subscribers.
- Drive consistent sales success by meeting and exceeding sales targets, leveraging a deep understanding of the product and market to identify and convert high-potential leads.
- Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with clients by offering insights and guidance on how our SaaS solution can address their specific business challenges and drive growth.
- Leverage the sales funnel data to find ways to become more efficient in lead conversion.
- Utilize various outreach methods including cold calling, emails, and social media.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to optimize sales efforts.
- Analyze market potential, track sales, and provide regular status reports.
- Provide management with insights on customer needs, competitive activities, and potential new products/services.
- Pursue continuous improvement through feedback and professional development opportunities.
Your Background:
- 3+ years of professional sales experience, ideally with 1+ year in a SaaS-focused role.
- Proven success in supporting sales for SMBs.
- Experience in Fintech or Payments is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated proficiency in selling subscription-based products.
- Proven track record of consistent sales success, having been part of the President's Club or recognized as a top achiever in previous roles.
- Familiarity with the Canadian and US markets, and experience managing clients in these regions.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive both independently and within a team.
- Solid business acumen and problem-solving abilities.
Bonus Points:
- Familiarity with accounts payables, accounts receivables, book keeping, cash flow management solutions and financial automation tools.
- Experience working with clients in both Canada and the USA.
