As an intern, you will work on real, open-ended problems that directly contribute to the success of the company. You will work closely with your mentor and other employees who will help you apply your knowledge and grow your skills through high-impact projects. You must be ready to stay focused, move fast, self-direct, and learn on the fly.Internships are available across the company within engineering teams such as mechanical, test, avionics, software, and manufacturing.Please note: this role requires you to work onsite either at our Kent or Moses Lake location.
Qualifications
- Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science or a similar STEM field
- Exceptional command of engineering fundamentals
- Hands-on engineering experience through internships, personal projects, work, or teams
- Ability to manage a complex technical project and take it through execution
- Ability to learn and apply state of the art techniques to technical projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Able to work full-time, onsite for a minimum of 10-12 consecutive weeks
Preferred qualifications for various teams:
Software:
Project-level experience with Python, C, or Rust
Mechanical:
Project-level experience with mechanical, thermodynamic, or fluid design and analysis. CAD proficiency and working as part of a team a plus
Manufacturing:
Hands on experience with building or working in a machine shop
Avionics:
Designing, testing, and integrating PCBs
Test Operations:
Any hands on experience with building or performing hazardous ops (pressure testing, cryogenic handling, etc.)
