Mythical’s Accounting & Finance team ensures that the company succeeds in a competitive global market by working cross-functionally to keep the business running efficiently. What You’ll Do:
- Support Accounts Payable key activities including vendor maintenance, invoice processing, and payments including validating vendors, coding invoices, and ensuring timely payments with proper approvals;
- Prepare account reconciliations and supporting schedules for journal entries to ensure month end deadlines are met;
- Support corporate card administration and expense reporting reconciliations;
- Prepare materials for internal and external reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis;
- Compile, analyze, and report accurate financial data on Studio participation agreements;
- Run month end reports and other ad hoc analysis;
- Prepare various reconciliations and analysis of account activity;
- Identify risks, implement and execute internal control protocols, and maintain proper process documentation and evidence in accordance with SOX;
- Provide support for the annual financial statement audit, as well as periodic internal audits;
- Improve and document general processes for assigned areas;
- Provide support for other ad hoc analyses and projects as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related degree (or equivalent years of experience);
- Qualified candidates will have 1+ years of experience as an accounting/finance associate;
- Preferred qualifications:
- CPA in progress;
- Exceptional organizational skills;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail;
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders;
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
The expected base salary range for this role is based on the location where the employee’s work will be performed and is aligned to one of our three compensation pay range tiers. Base pay is just one part of Mythical’s total compensation package, which is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their efforts and contributions. This role is also eligible to participate in Mythical’s Corporate Bonus and Equity Plan.
Pay Ranges by Tier:
Tier 1: $72,000 - $99,000Tier 2: $65,000 - $89,000Tier 3: $58,000 - $79,000

Tier 1 Locations: San Francisco Bay Area - CaliforniaTier 2 Locations: Remainder of California (outside of the SF Bay Area), Washington state, Massachusetts state, New York stateTier 3 Locations: All other states outside of California, Washington, Massachusetts, and New York*The role is open to candidates in the following states on a remote basis: California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Texas & WashingtonThe base salary for each successful applicant will be dependent on a variety of factors, including work location, education, qualifications, competencies, relevant work experience, business needs, and market demands.
