About the role


The UK Marketplace Manager drives local marketplace performance and revenue growth, by bridging overall business strategy with local needs and ensuring excellence in daily execution. You will work with senior leaders, collaborating across functions, rapidly diagnosing and spotting trends, growth opportunities, quickly solving problems, and bringing new valuable insight to help the commercial leadership to make the right decisions. You will liaise and align with your international counterparts to learn quicker and share best practice across our 3 markets, driving the commercial success of the business. 

What you'll be doing


You will execute a wide range of analytical, operational & strategic actions, initiatives and projects critical to Carwow’s growth and business success, working closely with all teams within the business (Commercial, Product, Marketing and Data) to maximise short to mid-term value.

  • Marketplace Health: closely monitor and deep dive into key performance indicators for the UK marketplace, track and quickly react to trends, manage the execution of key tactical levers, and initiate projects to improve marketplace health at scale
  • Supply: advise the commercial teams on supply acquisition requirements, analysing data to determine priority targets and the biggest opportunities for rapid growth. Driving the quality of our supply by ensuring we have strong pricing and offering on all models.
  • Merchandising: ensuring consumers have access to our best deals across the carwow website. Collaborating with Commercial, growth marketing and CRM to drive alignment to tacticaly put our strongest offers in front of consumers and maintain our market leading new car proposition. 
  • Marketing: feed market-specific insights back into marketing discussions, leading analysis to highlight opportunities and threats, and act upon the team’s findings. Proactively partner with the marketing team to determine what levers to pull to drive demand off the back of improved supply.  
  • Product: act as one key interface to the Global Product teams, providing them with local context, understanding drivers of product conversion identifying improvement potential, and working together with the teams to drive performance
  • Performance Tracking: becoming the internal expert on the UK market - thinking holistically about drivers of over/under performance, and how we respond to them

What you'll need


  • Very strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional, strategic actions, initiatives and projects
  • Experience working in a Marketplace business model and overall interest in the automotive industry
  • Passion for data analysis and natural aptitude for problem-solving, with the ability to mould this output into a clear storyline
  • Willingness to quickly learn, adapt and apply new skills
  • A creative, entrepreneurial mentality that enjoys experimentation and is willing to take risks
  • Bias for action - attitude to get things done quickly
  • Intermediate SQL skills
