They will be adept at finding and telling healthcare stories that highlight the way our clients are changing health and healthcare for the better, and eager to explain why what our clients do and how they are delivering better patient outcomes. Our new teammate will have the opportunity to drive media relations outreach and support owned content and social media for disruptors in health care delivery, with opportunities to rise to lead accounts including digital health, life sciences and biotech. They’ll partner with our clients on story development, execute content creation initiatives, build new media relationships, and help support both traditional and digital PR strategies.The ideal candidate has media relations experience and experience pitching health trade and business media, is a strong writer, and critical thinker.

They should be a self-starter, organized, and collaborative.  B2B health care PR/marketing experience is a plus. Agency experience is a plus; we are also interested in speaking with candidates who worked on in-house communications teams and/or agency relationships.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Serve as the day-to-day support for select health care clients
  • Develop and edit content (bylined articles, blog posts, infographics, external marketing collateral and other press materials)
  • Develop media relations goals, media targets and pitch angles
  • Build health business media relationships
  • Assist in the development of long-term client plans and program recommendations
  • Manage reporting mechanisms for client and account team
  • Coach/mentor junior staff and review their work for accuracy
  • May support organic growth and new business initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2-4 years public relations/marketing experience in B2B healthcare. Agency experience preferred but members of in-house programs will be considered
  • Relevant experience working with one or more of the following: the business of health, hospitals & health systems, life sciences, medical devices, health tech, clinical research, pharmaceutical companies
  • Strong media relations skills/experience
  • Exceptional writing skills 
  • Experience supporting accounts and client relationships
  • Understanding of digital media role in integrated communication strategies
  • Comfortable presenting to clients
  • Works effectively within a team, demonstrating coordination, communication and problem-solving
  • Thrives in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment
  • Flexible approach; has the ability to change priorities against changing client and team needs
  • Ability to grasp complex content
  • Intellectual curiosity, a passion for learning about a rapidly evolving industry

Salary Range - 70K-90K Work Location: position is office-based in NYC working a hybrid schedule. **Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
