We are in the early stages of growing the research discipline at Greenlight. This role will help guide design partners and cross-functional teams to discover, interpret, and communicate insights and opportunities in an inspiring way, while contributing to all phases of the design process.We are looking for a mid-level qualitative UX Researcher who is radically inspired by people and excels at gathering and communicating insights that put our users at the center of our product thinking.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, great storyteller and loves working with peers and leaders to mine for insights that drive elegant solutions to tough problems.
Your day-to-day:
- Work closely with product, design, and business teams to identify research topics
- Design and execute end-to-end primary research to understand our user needs, test concepts, designs, and product features
- Execute research utilizing various methods such as moderated 1:1 interviews, usability testing, concept testing, diary studies, etc. These studies will often address both user behaviors and attitudes
- Produce excellent research plans, moderator guides, schedule participants, run sessions, and deliver impactful findings to stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and autonomously
- Effectively manage and prioritize research plans through ambiguous and fast-changing environments
- Communicate results and craft meaningful recommendations in creative ways
- Work cross-functionally with design, product management, content strategy, engineering and marketing
- Generate insights that both fuel ideation and evaluate designs
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving organization and is able to work quickly to deliver actionable insights to stakeholders at various stages of a product development.
Location: This is a Remote position, but the company is based in Atlanta and thus there may be a need for minimal travel to meet with team members, stakeholders or to conduct in-person research.
What you’ll bring to the team:
- Bachelor’s degree with 2-3+ years of relevant experience in user research/product research.
- Experience conducting research for a technology company or product
- Experience conducting both in-person and remote/virtual research
- Experience with research tools such as usertesting.com, dscout, zoom/google meet etc.

The estimated base hourly rate for this position in (NY, CA, WA, CO): $65 - $75 per hour.
