About the Role:


We are looking for a proactive and ambitious self-starter with excellent communication skills to join Click’s Data Privacy team. The Privacy Specialist will play a key role in implementing Click’s data privacy and compliance initiatives. This individual will carry out strategic and operational responsibilities in the development of policies, procedures, and trainings on privacy and data security issues. The Privacy Specialist will work cross-functionally to build privacy into Click’s operations and digital therapeutics.This position can be based out of Click’s headquarters located in Tribeca, NYC, at the center of one of the fastest-growing digital health communities or at one of our industrious offices in Boston, MA, Miami, FL or Raleigh, NC.

We have a hybrid working model that consists of at least 3 days in office each week.

Responsibilities:


  • Partner with a wide-range of internal and external stakeholders, such as representatives from Technical Development, Data Engineering, Product Management, Commercial, People, and Legal to ensure compliance with HIPAA, as well as industry-specific, state, national data, and international privacy and data protection laws and regulations to define and implement best-in-class privacy and data protection practices.
  • Support the development of digital therapeutics products through monitoring and implementing privacy-by-design principles, features, and processes to uphold the highest standards.
  • Proactively identify potential privacy risks with respect to new initiatives and programs and effectively manage response, remediation, and escalation.
  • Draft, maintain, and enhance privacy-oriented documentation, such as policies, procedures, and privacy impacts assessments to uphold the highest data privacy compliance program standards.
  • Foster a culture of privacy-awareness through implementing, maintaining, and enhancing the company’s data privacy training program.
  • Coordinate and enable compliance monitoring and audit activities.
  • Coordinate and enable the implementation of TrustArc privacy management software.
  • Stay up-to-date with privacy regulatory trends and industry standards to contribute to the Privacy Program’s continued success.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 1-3 years prior relevant work experience in Privacy or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of privacy laws, including the Federal Privacy Act, state privacy laws, HIPAA, and GDPR.
  • Proven ability to translate complex privacy concepts to empower actionable insights for non-expert audiences.
  • Experience developing and writing policies, Standard Operating Procedures, Privacy Impact Assessments, and other technical writing.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills with the ability to construct clear and concise analyses.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance short and long-term project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Expertise in analyzing technical requirements and data flow diagrams to assess privacy risks and pinpoint privacy vulnerabilities within systems and processes.
  • Energized by the fast-paced nature of working in a novel start-up environment and eager to continuously learn and adapt to evolving challenges and technologies.
  • CIPP or CIPM or another relevant privacy certification.
  • Experience working with TrustArc or another Privacy Management Platform.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience working in a software development organization or in a healthcare setting.

Compensation:


The base salary range for this position is between: $78,000 - $90,000. The final base salary will be dependent upon skills, experience and location. In addition to the base salary, Click Therapeutics offers an annual performance-based cash bonus and a generous equity package.
