This position will be a blend of Purchasing duties as well as interaction with Vendors. The ideal person for this role should have a general background in Purchasing responsibilities and enjoys a fast moving dynamic role.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing P/O (Purchase Orders) and delivery.
- Maintain records of goods ordered and received.
- Prepare and process requisitions and POs for supplies and equipment.
- Assist purchasing manager in managing the purchasing department’s budget
- Perform all other duties as assigned or required.
- Accountable for the quality of work.
- Accurately and timely recording of information on specified documents.
- Proper use and care of equipment and materials staged in workplace.
- Monitor supplier performance
- Resolve invoice and payment issues
- Be involved with process improvements
- Other responsibilities as assigned by management; job duties may change at any time with or without notice
Skills and Qualifications:
- 2+ Years Purchasing Experience Preferred
- Strong problem-solving, strategic-thinking, and critical-analysis ability in resolving purchasing, inventory, and accounting issues
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Must be able to prioritize projects and recognize deficiencies in paperwork.
- Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Extremely organized and detailed oriented with excellent follow-up
- Proficient in PC applications to include: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
- Experience with Coupa Software system preferred
- Self-starter and able to work independently
- Results driven
