You will be equipped to make an impact, realize your potential, and stay inspired every step of the way.As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer in the AI org, you will work with the Product and Engineering teams to further the use and understanding of machine learning across the organization. You will be responsible for creating scalable and optimized solutions to create capabilities and launch ML products into production that lead to automated decision making in the Flipp product to drive revenue or automate manual processes to reduce operational costs. You will also mentor Machine Learning Engineers and Machine Learning Scientists while raising the standard for machine learning amongst the team.
What you'll get the opportunity to do:
- Create and maintain data processing pipelines and ML model deployment infrastructure; continuously improve the ML framework to standardize and automate processes
- Oversee, design and develop modeling approaches that leverage advanced machine learning algorithms including recommendation systems and natural language understanding
- Implement monitoring solutions to track the health and performance of ML data pipelines in order to identify and resolve issues proactively
- Conduct regular performance tuning and optimization of ML data pipelines to meet SLAs and scalability requirements
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior/intermediate team members in their professional growth
- Build and communicate technical strategies related to the development of scalable ML solutions with built-in optionality to leadership team
What you'll bring to the team:
- 4+ years of relevant experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or in a similar role
- Experience in working with Scala, Spark, Python, related big data technologies and distributed computing
- Experience in constructing scalable data architecture using tools like Airflow and Databricks
- Strong knowledge of standard ML techniques and algorithms
- Experience in deploying ML models in production following backend software engineering best practices
- Ability to initiate, drive and lead projects to completion with strong cross functional teams interaction skills
- Proven experience in at least one of following areas:
- recommendation systems (e.g., filtering, personalization via deep learning / embeddings, semantic relevance)
- language understanding (e.g., text representation, NLP/LLM, semantic extraction)
- MLOps platform (model lifecycle management, deployment, serving, monitoring)
