Project ManagerWorking closely with each member in our team, you’ll be leveraging your Project Management skills to keep the team on track as we take our designs from concepts to robust, compelling, commercial products. You will enjoy great visibility to all aspects of our company and play a key role in making sure things stay on track. This is an extraordinary opportunity to join a small team and be involved with every aspect of cutting edge photonics development.What you will do:
- Collaborate with Engineering team members to understand their needs and help produce project plans, timelines, and budgets
- Work with senior management to advise on potential or existing issues and suggest plans to avoid or remedy
- Track and report throughout the product life cycle with standup/passdown meetings, sprint reviews and planning meetings, and management update meetings
- Implement systems to facilitate the tracking and reporting of progress/issues/blockers/etc.
- Own the relationship with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure their work is on time and on spec
- Run meetings with our principal vendors
- Communicate in a clear and concise fashion
- Convey complex product development cycles into concise reports throughout the process
What we need from you:
- Engineering degree with 5+ years experience in technical projects
- Industry experience working with multiple vendors to bring complex products to market
- Familiarity and comfort dealing with of electrical and optical concepts and components
- Exemplary prioritization skills- keen ability to identify and focus on the most important project risks
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team and facilitate collaboration between different departments
- Ability to perform well in the absence of formal structure and process
- Ability to build and improve on program management systems
- Strong skills with Jira and general communication
- Scrum for Hardware knowledge and ability to drive the team to success
