Position Overview:


The Bliss Group has an immediate opening for a full-time, experienced Account Director with a content creation focus to drive content-focused programs and develop short and long-form content for clients in our professional services practice. In this role, you will be responsible for ideating, creating and editing high-priority written content across a variety of formats, targeting a mix of C-Suite and B2B audiences and managing day-to-day programs for one of our largest clients. The right candidate will take a creative approach to business writing, excel at distilling complex subjects into reader-friendly narratives and apply critical thinking skills to develop unique, compelling perspectives that tell the “so what”.

Intellectual curiosity and critical thinking is a must, creative writing experience is preferred. Examples of content you may be asked to create include:

  • Survey reports
  • Sales collateral
  • Website copy
  • Technical whitepapers
  • Blog posts
  • Byline articles
  • Ad copy
  • Email copy

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • This role will be approximately 1/3 media relations, 1/3 writing, and 1/3 planning & strategy
  • Serve as the day-to-day client lead on a handful of accounts
  • Leverage stellar writing/editing skills to develop and edit content (surveys/studies and other long-form thought leadership collateral, email marketing copy, digital ad copy, video scripts, etc.)
  • Develop media relations strategies, goals, media targets and pitch angles
  • Pitch the media 
  • Route articles of interest to account teams and client
  • Advise on digital marketing campaigns
  • Assist in the development of long-term client plans and program recommendations
  • Manage reporting mechanisms for client and account team
  • Track and report on financials and profitability for individual accounts, making adjustments to the programs as needed 
  • Mentor and supervise team members

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of relevant Public Relations, content creation, and/or integrated marketing experience
  • B2B communications experience is preferred
  • Media relations experience is a MUST
  • Exceptional long-form writing skills is a MUST
  • Digital marketing and campaign planning experience is preferred
  • Client service experience preferred
  • Private Equity experience is preferred
  • Strong interest in professional services
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Thrives in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment
  • Works effectively within a team, demonstrating coordination, communication and problem-solving 
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills; able to work quickly, prioritizing multiple assignments, while being flexible to changing client and team needs & priorities
  • Ability to grasp complex content
  • Intellectual curiosity, a passion for learning about a rapidly evolving industry, and a positive attitude!
  • Strong attention to detail

Work Location: This position will be based in our NYC or Austin office, working a hybrid schedule Salary Range: 100K-135K annually**Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
