Each year we process billions of dollars of payments and provide companies with solutions which help them to save money, automate processes and grow, but we’re only just getting started.....We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to manage and grow our existing client relationships in Nigeria. The successful candidate will be responsible for building strong relationships, identifying new opportunities, and driving revenue growth within our existing client base. The role’s focus is on revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and account expansion.
In this role you will:
Manage and grow existing client relationships through regular communication, meetings, and business reviews
Develop and execute account plans to achieve revenue targets and expand Vertofx's services within existing accounts
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts, including upselling and cross-selling
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and customer success, to deliver solutions to clients
Develop and maintain accurate account forecasts and reports, including sales pipeline management and performance tracking
Ensure client satisfaction and resolve any issues promptly, escalating when necessary
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and market developments to maintain Vertofx's competitive edge
EnsureCustomer Retention Rate: Maintain a customer retention rate of 85% or higher
Account Growth: Achieve an increase in sales revenue from existing customers within the next 12 months
Average Order Value (AOV): Increase the AOV.
Customer Satisfaction Score: Maintain a high customer satisfaction score.\
Account Penetration: Increase the number of products/solution cross-sold to existing customers.
Contract Renewal Rate: Achieve a high contract renewal rate.
Customer Engagement Score: Maintain a high CES.
Account Health Score: Maintain a high account health score.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
Minimum 3 years of account management experience in B2B payment space or related industry
Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and growing existing accounts
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable insights
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple accounts and tasks
Proficiency in CRM software and sales tools, such as (HubSpot, SalesForce etc)
Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
Nice to Have:
Experience in international trade, logistics, or payments
Knowledge of African markets and trade regulations
Fluency in additional languages (e.g., French, Portuguese)
Experience with sales analytics and performance management tools
Certification in account management or a related field
