Requirements


WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR 


We are looking for an innovative & accomplished Client Partner, Business Director with impressive cross-channel experience and a flair for building relationships and driving results for clients. The role will be to own a portfolio of some of our largest accounts within North Asia. A key senior level role that reports directly to our General Manager, Japan, you will play a critical role in growth and business expansion plans. You’ll play an active rolling in levelling up Assembly in Japan. Furthering our teams' key capabilities to be positioned as a young & innovative digital first marketing partner, that’s ready to challenge the status quo.

You will be supported by a globally strong and connected team, while working together with brilliant global talent across the region. 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING ON ANY GIVEN DAY


  • Drive and implement the overall business strategy, including delivering our clear vision for the company's future and guiding the team towards achieving the goal. 
  • Build and lead a strong and effective team, delegating tasks and responsibilities effectively and fostering a positive work culture as a business lead 
  • Lead productization ideas & discussion with key leadership in Japan and regional teams to meet the clients’ needs and drive innovation and creativity of our services.  
  • Ensure the final deliverables meet clients’ expectations and are of high quality. 
  • Establish partnerships and relationships with the clients, stakeholders, and other key members in region. 
  • Develop excellent client relationships at all levels, from commercial as well as reputation and delivery perspectives 
  • Lead digital media planning and activation teams that work across the North Asia business to ensure client objectives are met 
  • Ensure project plans and process documents are maintained and kept up to date and improve working methods where possible to increase efficiency 
  • Lead internal meetings, ensuring learnings across all channels, teams and markets are shared 
  • Actively seek cross and upsell opportunities within the account where possible 
  • Keep abreast of channel, product, and industry updates within the agency, ensuring these are communicated to the client where appropriate 

DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU?


  • 13 to 18 years’ experience in mainly digital marketing preferably from a media agency environment 
  • Strong sense of leadership with can- do spirit, open mindedness and global business acumen    
  • Eager to grow the team & the business with strong entrepreneurship 
  • Excellent understanding of all digital channels including PPC, Display, Paid Social and Data Analysis 
  • Strategic planning and team management experience 
  • Experience of localised digital strategies for Japan is a must, and for global is beneficial 
  • Good client management skills with a proven track record of working with senior clients 
  • Able to lead and nurture a team ranging from Account Directors to Executives 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal) 
  • Strategic planning and team management experience 
  • Excellent project management, problem-solving skills and collaboration 
  • Eager to challenge new things and enjoy the journey to develop new opportunities 
  • Goal oriented, proactive and confident client facing attributes 
  • Fluent in Japanese & English
