We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager, based in London, to join an ambitious team and help take Malt to the next level. An essential element of our success will come from you, the Business Development Manager. In this role you will be responsible for acquiring, establishing, and nurturing long-term partnerships with our most important clients. This is a challenging “full-stack” sales role that will directly contribute to the commercial expansion of Malt all while building quality relationships with our key accounts in the UK.Working in a small office of 20, you will also have a strategic impact and you will shape the culture of the local team for the years to come. We are looking for entrepreneurial and optimistic individuals.
Key responsibilities ✨
- Define your playground to develop your key accounts (2000 FTE and above): client territory by industry and size based on the existing Malt footprint.
- You will be a hunter, using cold and warm outreach strategies to build your pipeline and crack new accounts.
- Design, implement, and execute your go to market plan to grow your business with each account.
- Effectively collaborate with internal teams (marketing, sourcing, finance, C-levels…) to ensure long-term client success.
- Become a trusted advisor for your clients, help them adapt their organisation and processes to make the most out of their flexible talent strategy.
- Get a precise understanding of the rise of freelancing and the associated challenges and opportunities for large companies in the UK (eg. IR35).
- Educate the UK market on the power of using independent consultants and freelancers to become more agile and flexible.
- Provide local insights from users on how to further enhance the product and Malt value proposition.
About you 🧑🚀
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role in a B2B or SaaS company
- Proven experience of target driven sales and account management experience, preferably in the technology industry
- Excellent formal communication and presentation skills that can be used with C-level decision makers
- Self-starter with a 'hunter' mindset, making outreach a core part of your day to day
- Basic knowledge of the tech industry (languages and frameworks)
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, ever-changing scale-up environment

- Final interview with Charlie (UK Country Head) to discuss Malt’s long term vision and to check any remaining questions (30 mins)
