We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Finance Manager / Financial Controller to join our growing finance team.
The Financial Controller will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, and maintaining robust internal controls. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in consolidation, multi-currency reporting, and audit, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in the payment or fintech industry.

In this role you will:
- Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Oversee the preparation and timely delivery of monthly and annual financial statements across various Verto entities ensuring they accurately reflect the company’s financial position
- Provide actionable insights by analysing financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement, thereby supporting strategic decision-making
- Deliver consolidated financial statements that are accurate and timely, facilitating a comprehensive view of the company’s financial health
- Monitor budget performance and address significant variances, providing insights and recommendations that support effective financial planning
- Audit
- Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors during financial audits, ensuring a smooth and efficient audit process
- Prepare and review audit schedules, ensuring timely provision of required documentation, and implement audit recommendations to strengthen internal controls.
- Tax & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all tax regulations, including the timely filing of tax returns and payments
- Liaise with accountants, tax authorities and regulatory bodies as required
- Internal Controls
- Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal control policies and procedures, ensuring ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
- Conduct periodic reviews and updates of internal controls to manage risks effectively, safeguarding the company’s assets and financial integrity
- Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment
- Provide training and support to team members on financial processes and systems, promoting continuous learning and professional growth
You’ll Need:
- Full Qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA
- Minimum of 3 years PQE in industry (payment or fintech highly preferred)
- Proven experience in consolidation and multi-currency reporting
- Strong background in audit processes and liaising with external auditors
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and standards (GAAP, IFRS)
- Proficiency in financial software systems
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
