As a
Senior Data Analyst at Prezzee, you will play a crucial role in gathering and interpreting data from across the business to support decision-making processes and achieve our strategic goals. You will identify patterns and trends in complex datasets, share insights and recommendations with senior stakeholders, and maintain the data infrastructure that forms our analytics stack. This role is instrumental in fulfilling our FY24 strategic ambition to disrupt the gift card and payments market globally.
Hybrid role based in Sydney.
General Responsibilities:
- Report on key business metrics to stakeholders across various departments, including Product, Strategy, Marketing, and Customer Care.
- Identify and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets using data science and machine learning techniques.
- Clean and normalize data from core business applications (e.g., Segment, Braze, the Prezzee back-end).
- Present data-driven findings and recommendations to the business in a clear and actionable format.
- Work directly with management teams to gather requirements, scope and prioritize analytics work, and provide regular status updates.
- Engage with senior business stakeholders to understand and document user journeys to design and implement product feature analyses.
- Ask the right questions to different stakeholders to identify the real problems to solve, which might not always be apparent initially.
- Provide thought and technical leadership to more junior analysts.
Technical Responsibilities:
- Write efficient, well-documented code.
- Maintain the infrastructure and tools that form our analytics stack.
- Create and update documentation for our analytics workflows and processes.
- Evaluate existing analytics processes for inefficiencies, problems, and inaccuracies, and identify improvement opportunities.
About You:
- Highly dedicated ethos with a strong sense of accountability for your work.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities, be flexible, and take ownership of outcomes.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in analytics and reporting roles.
- Experience in data models and reporting packages.
- Ability to analyze large datasets and write comprehensive reports.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical mind and inclination for problem-solving.
- Attention to detail.
- Experience programming in SQL, Python, or similar languages.
- Proficiency in data visualization.
- Great understanding of spreadsheet tools.
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools.
