Interested in working on cutting-edge blockchain technology and creating equitable access to the global financial system? Since 2014, the mission-driven team at the Stellar Development Foundation (SDF) has helped fuel the tremendous growth of the Stellar blockchain network, an open-source platform that operates at high-scale today. Developers and companies around the world build on it, and the SDF team is expanding to support the rapidly growing and changing Stellar ecosystem.The Senior Corporate Events Manager will be covering for a maternity leave.

They will be a key player in leading and executing the 6th edition of the Stellar Development Foundation’s annual conference: Meridian. In addition, they will support a couple of SDF-owned side-events at select third party conferences. They will be reporting to the Chief of Staff.

Responsibilities:


  • Lead all aspects of end-to-end logistical planning, coordination, and execution of the Stellar Development Foundation’s annual conference ‘Meridian’ as well as a couple of SDF-owned side-events at select third party conferences.
  • Ensure everything is running smoothly: from the pre-event planning and coordination, production, onsite execution, to the post-event wrap up, survey, and metric measurement.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external vendors and internal stakeholders, nurturing relationships to enhance event success.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (office of the CEO, ecosystem growth and developer relations, PMM, marketing, communications, finance, legal, business development, policy) to ensure consistency and alignment across all event efforts.
  • Implement and manage processes, facilitate meetings, and own the master timeline. Regularly communicate progress, deadlines, and interdependency to ensure established milestones are met.
  • Oversee registration, promotions and emails, event website updates, all production aspects, general program run of show, and all operations and logistics, including flawless onsite management of all sessions, activations, F&B, A/V, furniture, swag, social events, networking, shuttles, rooming list, SDF volunteers, and external local staff members.
  • Track budgets and manage post conference marketing budget reconciliation.
  • Travel is required.

Qualifications:


  • 7+ years of demonstrated success in "hands-on" global event management
  • Multi-project management, impeccable attention to details and organization skills
  • Positive attitude and outcome oriented
  • Analytical mindset to conduct ROI analysis
  • Resourceful and self-starter that works best in a team environment
  • Flexible in a fast-paced setting with ever-changing tasks
  • Ability to interact with all levels of people including senior executives
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong sense of urgency and work ethic
  • Familiar with Bizzabo, Hubspot, Braindate, and other event management software

We offer competitive pay with a base range for this position of $80 - $110 per hour for up to 40 hours per week depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. The benefits below do not apply to contract positions.
