POSITION SUMMARY:


The Business Development Account Manager will assume responsibility for both existing and new direct to consumer (B2C) client families. It will perform duties such as lead management, building and maintaining partner or family relationships, updating CRM records, forecasting accurately, achieving sales targets, and processing orders.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS


  • Act as the main point of contact in all matters relating to customers' concerns and needs.
  • Build and strengthen customer relationships to achieve long-term partnerships.
  • Maintain accurate records such as keeping track of any contract updates and renewals in our CRM (customer relationship management system) and updating all contacts and forecasts regularly.
  • Work with sales and other internal teams to develop strategic marketing plans and ensure KPIs are being met.
  • Develop and demonstrate a thorough understanding of our product and services to qualify leads, close opportunities, support customers and better upsell/cross-sell to clients.
  • Work closely and support the domestic team as needed to ensure team success.
  • Participate in company meetings and strategic planning as requested by the Company.
  • Effectively represent the Company in image, background and credentials to prospective customers.
  • Build relationships with executive leaders, sales teams and cross-functional business partners (e.g., Sales Operations, Product, Academic, Marketing and HR teams) to collaborate on business needs and priorities as well as to balance the training cadence and sequence based on the overall priorities of the business.
  • Contribute to marketing/sales strategy to address program growth in the short- and long-term.
  • Daily and Weekly Responsibilities:
  • Generate, manage, qualify and convert leads.
  • Make hot/cold calls using our VoIP service.
  • Present our products and services via Zoom meetings – using the Sandler Sales System.
  • Provide accurate and timely quotes to customers and process orders through CRM.
  • Maintain CRM daily with all meeting notes, contact details and opportunity forecast.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


  • Minimum of an Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • 2 plus years of experience working within a sales department is required
  • 2 plus years of experience in education technology sales is preferred
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas and receiving positive customer feedback
  • Expertise using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and juggle several responsibilities simultaneously
  • Strong written, verbal and online communication skills
  • Good attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Expertise and experience using a CRM
  • Familiar with Sandler Sales System or alternative sales methodologies
