As the Manager, Finance Business Partner, you will serve as the primary contact for financial performance for assigned business functions. You will develop, organizationally align, distribute, and lead discussions on critical metrics to drive visibility and accountability throughout the organization. You will be an inspirational leader who conveys energy and credibility. This position directly reports to the SVP of FP&A.
How will you contribute?
- Work closely with the functional management team to ensure proper financial and business controls are in place
- Streamline systems and data to identify, measure effectively, and track key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Ensures alignment between revenue projections and associated spend for business function
- Manage headcount and staffing plans to ensure both functional objectives are met and within budget
- Support vendor negotiations and cost management for software, hosting, and hardware
- Manage monthly forecasts and annual budget through an inclusive process with the functional management team
- Oversees variance commentary and analysis of the business function against complete P&L and leading indicators
- Works with other Finance Business Partners, Corporate FP&A, and Accounting to disseminate and receive relevant information throughout the organization
- Support cost optimization projects through profitability analysis and efficiency recommendations
- Able to present complex information and findings to large teams
- Moderate understanding of GAAP and impact on financial forecasts

What will you bring?
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business. MBA, CPA, or Masters preferred
- 7+ years of financial analysis experience; preferably in SAAS or Professional Services
- Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning, Salesforce, or NetSuite preferred
- Can apply advanced knowledge and experience to developing new methods, programs, and procedures, and includes a comprehensive understanding of the practical issues of at least one central functional area where the knowledge is applied.
- Skilled in end-to-end people management.
- Can drive the application of principles, theories, and concepts and determines the best course of action.
- Able to resolve complex problems of line of business-wide operations.
- Skilled in establishing functional procedures and policy.
- Able to identify efficiency improvement activities and work to implement streamlining/efficiency changes.
- Able to make tactical decisions that will impact the line of business.
$105,000 - $135,000 a yearThe above salary range represents Smarsh's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible base compensation at the time of posting. Any applicable bonus programs will be discussed during the recruiting process. The salary for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, location, specialty and training.
