OBA Inspector - Back UpReporting & Supervisory Responsibility
- This position reports to the Lead Production Quality Engineer
Key Job Elements
- Provide in-process and final visual inspection of Production parts to the final inspection criteria in a timely manner
- Record all inspection results in the Lot Release database
- Provide feedback to Production Cell Lead and Process Quality Engineering on any nonconformance that may need immediate attention
- Support events outside one’s normal daily routines as required by management.
- Work as a team to complete inspection and data entry of all product inspection results made ready for Finished Good delivery on time.
- Provide solutions that may improve efficiency and effective practices for inspection and work load balancing between other inspectors.
- Provide improvements to work inspection instructions & procedures
- Assemble mechanical & electronic assemblies and kits using electric & manual hand tools when required
- Follow Non-Conforming Material (NCM) process, ensure NCM material is properly red-tagged and placed in the appropriate location
Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
Experience
- Experience as a QA Technician or assembly operator may be substituted for education requirement
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of basic statistics fundamentals
- Proficient use of MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel, etc.)
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to follow-up issues/concerns through closure
- Ability to lead basic team efforts

Position Type, Schedule, and Travel
This is a full-time position. The days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.National travel may be required from time to time to support business needs.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
- This position requires standing for eight hours (8) per day
- Bending over
- Push, and pull product
- Use of simple hand tools
- Use of Solvent and/or lubricants
- Lifting repetitively boxes / parts up to 40 lbs
