About the Position
We are seeking a Node.js enthusiast who’s passionate about application security and continuous delivery. An ideal candidate for this role understands the V8 engine, as well as a strong understanding of the Node.js event loop and other standard internal components of Node.js. This person might spend their free time making pull requests on other projects involving Node.js or the Node.js project itself. Hopefully, they have posted a project or two on Github so others can consume their JavaScript awesomeness. The key applications that we work with are:- Source Control: Git, GutHub- Languages: JavaScript, TypeScript, C/C++, Rust- DevOps: GitHub Actions, AWS
Responsibilities:
- Work side-by-side with some pretty awesome minds in the application security space thinking about ways to make software less penetrable.
- Develop high-performing and scalable code capable of analysing applications written in Node.js dynamically.
- Work in a collaborative environment while juggling competing priorities from multiple stakeholders.
- Support our company initiatives around Continuous Delivery, building scalable code that’s 100% testable through automated continuous integration pipelines.
- Grow the platform over time to incorporate new features and capabilities.
About You:
- 4+ years of experience building Node.js backend solutions including: microservices, webapps, crawlers.
- Experience with Node.js frameworks, validation libraries, and databases supported by our Node.js agent - Supported Technologies.
- Experience testing stand-alone Node.js apps and microservices using tools like Playwright, Cypress.io or Frisbyjs.
- Experience with microservices messaging using queues, Kafka, or gRPC.
- Experience building native modules for Node.js using C/C++ and/or Rust.
- Demonstrate a passion for testing, code coverage and security.
- Able to deal with ambiguity and to solve problems independently.
- Possess a high-level of personal accountability and “self-starter” attitude in order to make progress in ambiguous situations on schedule.
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals.
