Key Outputs

• Component machining to OEM and customer specifications
• Produce accurate customer service reports
• Examine and rate parts in accordance with caterpillar reusability guidelines
• Prepare parts lists for machining
• Ensure a safe working environment for self and team
• Control Contamination
• Control own admin (labour booking, service reports, part returns, expenses etc.)
• Ensure that the quality and productivity standards of one's own work are consistently and accurately met.
• Adherence to all policies and procedures
• Service, maintain and repair plant and equipment
• Effective self-management and performance ownership
• Read and understand blueprint designs
• Set up machinery for production
• Rework metal to create the blueprint design
• Measure and verify all calculations prior to setting up the machinery
• Maintain a clean and organized working environment
• Complete routine maintenance of their machinery
• Enter all relevant codes to specify the feed, speed, and cut of any toolpath for a CNC

Qualification, Experience and Competencies

• Qualified in relevant trade (Minimum CNC/ Turner Machinist)
• 3 to 5 years Post Trade experience
• Exposure in component machining will be greatly advantage
• Knowledge in the Caterpillar Service Information System – SIS
• Drivers licence – Code B
• Used part inspection and evaluation skills
