ABOUT THE ROLE:


As our Head of Manufacturing, you will play a vital role in owning and driving our manufacturing plan for the future. This encompasses building and implementing our manufacturing strategy to procure our ingredients and building a robust supply chain, scaling up our product from bench to production readiness, and ultimately ensuring the final release of high-quality products to market.As our ideal candidate, you excel in project management, effectively prioritizing both your time and your team's time amidst multiple priorities.

You possess strong strategic planning skills and take pride in you execution capabilities. You are also an amazing communicator, building connection across individuals and teams to move the mission of the teams you’ve worked with forward.

AS OUR HEAD OF MANUFACTURING, YOU WILL:



  • Strategic Planning:

  • In alignment with leadership, craft our short, mid, and long-term supply-chain and manufacturing strategy from the ground-up. This includes develop systems and processes, goals, project plans, and feedback loops to ensure for supply chain, shipping, and exporting to scale manufacturing for New School Foods.

  • Take projections from sales and finance team and translate that into production goals, timelines, and schedules.

  • Operations Management:

  • Oversee the day-to-day manufacturing activities to ensure production targets are met efficiently and effectively.

  • Optimize production schedules, resource allocation, waste management, to maximize productivity.

  • Implement documentation processes that support data-driven decision-making, ensuring all actions are aligned with operational data, inventory levels, and contract obligations.

  • Champion organizational, project management, and planning skills with the team.

  • Team Leadership:

  • Provide strong hands-on leadership to the manufacturing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.

  • Set clear goals and objectives for each member of your team and monitor progress and reward achievement.

YOU WILL BRING:



  • Minimum of 7+ years of manufacturing experience (carrying responsibilities that vary from supply chain, plant management, and manufacturing).

  • At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role working with consumable and/or perishable products.

  • Demonstrated experience in taking concepts from 0 -> 1. You have the ability to plan and execute cross-functionally, demonstrating strategic vision and operational precision.

  • An approachable leadership style, with the ability to think on your feet, make decisions quickly, and navigate teams through complex manufacturing scenarios.

  • Customer-driven and a high-sense of urgency.

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
