Job Summary
Newberry Group seeks a Network Engineer to support their DISA client. This role is a full-time position, on-site in Chambersburg, PA. This position requires an active Top-Secret clearance and a DoD 8570 IAT level II or higher certification such as CompTIA Security+ CE, ISC2 SSCP, SANS GSEC prior to starting. Successful candidates must have the ability to effectively work in a team environment, take the initiative to address identified issues, and the ability to interface with customers and respond to requests for troubleshooting assistance in a professional manner.
Responsibilities and Duties
Specific responsibilities include the following:
- Provide touch support for DoDNet, DISA CIO/DISA SCI network, and unclassified/classified/ Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS).
- Video Teleconferencing (VTC) and support for EIIC’s LANs.
- Provides touch labor support on VTC equipment and fiber networking connections.
- Maintain and track system, user, address, and network port data.
- Assist with network documentation and user guides.
- Support users with IS issues and develop, update, review and comment on network topologies and facility drawings and diagrams.
Basic Qualifications and Skills Required
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and basic networking concepts.
- Experience with DNS and group policy.
- Ability to troubleshoot network connectivity using common tools like nslookup, ipconfig, tracert and netstat.
- Experience with fiber and EVoIP, patching and system update experience.
- MS Excel experience is a plus.
Education and Other Requirements
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in required skills listed above.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work individually or as a member of a team.
- Active Top-Secret clearance.
