How You Will Help
As a Project Manager III in the PMO, you are a passionate and collaborative leader to managing and delivering highly complex software and data projects that are crucial to our business. You will create detailed project plans, guide teams, monitor progress, and communicate status, risks, and issues to ensure project success. You'll use the best methodologies and tools to communicate objectives and progress clearly, and you'll motivate and support both employees and clients to achieve projects on time, within budget, and aligned with our strategy.
You will play a vital role in supporting our PMO and fostering a culture of accountability and success.
What you will do
- Guide software projects through the implementation of structured processes and stages, ensuring successful completion for internal, client, and partner deployments
- Manage complex projects using both traditional and agile methodologies, acting as a supportive advocate for project success
- Monitor and manage all risks and issues, providing timely and accurate project reporting
- Facilitate communication and workflow across all key functions
- Follow all PMO processes and guidelines, while helping to enhance and promote them
- Oversee project budgets, timelines, resources, and deliverables
- Foster a culture of accountability, responsiveness, flexibility, and positive results
How success is defined
- Effectively manage projects and teams to support swift revenue generation, customer satisfaction, and timely delivery of data and software
- Build and nurture highly productive project team and cross-team relationships by actively facilitating communication and activities that ensure seamless handoffs and customer delight
- Aggregate and report project information in a way that enhances decision-making and increases project success
- Proactively identify and escalate risks and issues to provide transparency and enable quick resolution
- Encourage increased team performance by coaching, removing obstacles, and implementing improvements, especially in relation to speed to revenue and customer satisfaction
Required skills and experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or a demonstrable commitment to completing a recognized project management curriculum
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in software project and process management, with 7+ years in technical leadership
- Skilled in managing projects and processes throughout their lifecycle, including planning, progress management, work estimation, task management, team development, risk, issue, and change management.
- Proficient in project management methodologies, tools (MS Project, Smart Sheets, Jira, Confluence), and techniques (Waterfall, Iterative, Agile, Kanban), and able to lead various meeting types and ceremonies
- Experience managing multiple large, complex software customer delivery projects and/or large multi-team programs
- Able to work independently to manage process and project deliverables across teams, ensuring successful completion using critical path, alternate scenario, and remediation/mitigation techniques
- Proven ability to initiate positive change by implementing business and project practice and process improvements
Desired skills and experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Additional certifications such as Scrum Master (PSM or CSM) or Six Sigma are a plus and may be required for certain roles
- Committed to ongoing project management learning
- Experience working in a PMO
$65,000 - $155,000 a yearBase salary for the role is commensurate with experience + annual bonus opportunity.
Hiring Locations
Our strong preference is to hire team members in the Philadelphia area whenever possible. Expansion beyond Philadelphia will occur when necessary with travel to our Philadelphia headquarters as required.
