ABOUT THE ROLE
Funeral Directors Life seeks an Active Sales Manager/Trainer (ASM) for agents in TENNESSEE and GEORGIA. Active Sales represent the fastest growing sector of or sales organization, and we need a qualified sales and management professional to serve as the specialist who is responsible for leading, expanding and developing the “active” sales of Funeral Directors Life’s preneed insurance and annuity products. The ASM is the coach who guides sales professionals; the mentor who educates funeral homes about the value of active selling; and the manager who tirelessly promotes our proactive approach to preneed sales.
As the ASM, you will be able to lead by example, influence others to adopt and embrace a new sales mentality, and know when and how to follow through appropriately. A successful ASM can establish a clear vision and build strong relationships across our organization.
Job Responsibilities:
- Inspire others toward a vision of our profession’s future
- Train and manage a team of sales professionals within a specified market
- Assist in the recruiting and hiring of funeral sales professionals
- Work with funeral homes who are interested in growing their business by actively promoting preneed funeral sales
- Effectively coach and develop others while making sound, ethical decisions
- Follow Funeral Directors Life directed sales processes for serving our customers
- Continually develop and improve the business to consumer (B2C) sales process
- Coordinate sales and marketing plans and activities within the market that will lead to active sales growth and profitability
- Work closely with other sales managers and the Executive Management team to achieve company sales goals and objectives
- Appropriately manage the expenses associated with the Active Sales Channel
What You Will Need
- Funeral industry (preneed sales) experience REQUIRED
- GEORGIA or TENNESSEE life insurance license HIGHLY PREFERRED
- Proven track record of sales success – at least five years
- Demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to lead a diverse sales team
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects
- High moral and ethical standards
- Four year college degree preferred
