Quality Engineering Technician Reporting & Supervisory Responsibility
- This position reports to the Lead Production Quality Engineer
Key Job Elements
- Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet established quality standards
- Perform various tests and measurements using precision equipment and tools to evaluate product performance and reliability
- Document test procedures, results, and observations accurately and thoroughly
- Analyze test data to identify trends, anomalies, or areas for improvement, and collaborate with the engineering team to implement corrective actions
- Assist with the coordination of purge and containments to ensure the proper containment measures are in place
- Assist with organizing and managing internal containment activities
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control processes and procedures
- Conduct root cause analysis investigations to determine the underlying causes of quality issues and support the team to implement effective solutions
- Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and identify opportunities for optimization
- Participate in cross-functional teams to support new product development projects and ensure quality requirements are met throughout the product lifecycle
- Provide training and guidance to production personnel on quality-related processes and procedures
- Support quality audits and inspections conducted by internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications
Education
- Associate degree or equivalent technical certification in engineering technology, quality assurance, or related experience pursuing certification
Experience
- A minimum of 4 years of manufacturing, preferably for electronics / battery applications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of basic statistics fundamentals
- Proficient use of MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel, etc.)
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to follow-up issues/concerns through closure
- Ability to lead basic team efforts

Position Type, Schedule, and Travel
This is a full-time position. The days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.National travel may be required from time to time to support business needs.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
- Must be able to stand while working for the full shift (8 - 12 hours)
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds regularly
