Overview of the Role:
The ADM provides support to Account Manager in administer and facilitating plans, programs, and changes at assigned accounts. Work with sales and marketing team to identify additional sales opportunities by making store visits, attend trade shows, designing and conducting product knowledge seminars, and pursuing competitor and retail intelligence. Analyze and utilize POS, inventory, 3rd Party and other data to make recommendations that will drive sales opportunities. Work closely with VP’s & management team for special projects.
Lead the OMNI channel experience by integrating .com with Brick & Mortar.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Regular attendance and punctuality required
- Collect & Report Account & Competitive Retail's
- Conduct stores visits to ensure merchandising standards, monitor and identify competitive activity, do pricing surveys, access POS performances, and generally collect information to assess performance against sales goals and benchmarks
- Identify Sales Opportunities & Dept expansion opportunities
- Identify Cost Savings opportunities
- Work with analysts to collect and analyze POS, financial, and other information for the purpose of evaluating results and/or identifying problems/opportunities
- Review and evaluate Activant/Nielsen/Other data with analysts. Present data quarterly/as needed to customers.
- Analyze and make recommendations based on purchased data such as Activant and Nielsen to drive sales
- Evaluate and analyze data, financial data, and competitive knowledge to help create market share assumptions
- Work with analysts on market share preparation
- Administer and monitor pricing and program implementation and compliance in accordance with agreements between Woodstream and customer
- Support development of proposals, presentations, and recommendations in conjunction with semi-annual or annual modular reviews
- Coordinate and develop proposals/presentations and make recommendations in conjunction with reviews. Make recommendations for pitches based on competitive environment and POG analysis
- Manage and resolve product and service problems that arise
- Resolve pricing, inventory, and any interruptions in service
- Attending forecasting meetings and ensure promotion inventories are accounted for as well as regular inventory planning
- Attend forecasting meetings and make account recommendations
- Evaluate promotions and report results
- Execute paperwork, forms, and requests to ensure on time product delivery, open communication between Woodstream and customer
- Create and present product knowledge (including but not limited to service organizations, store groups, and in-store personal
- Identify benchmark packaging, graphics, secondaries of competitors and non-competitive categories and share with marketing
- Identify and help assure balance between inventory, POS, and orders. Resolve in-store servicing issues including but not limited to out of stocks, excess inventory, damaged goods, and POG non-compliance
- Clean, face, and stock POG as needed
- Attend major PLR's offering store visit insight, competitive intelligence, financial information, industry info, etc,
- Competitive POG analysis and reporting
- Utilize customer specific websites for item set up/maintenance, logistical info, POG assignments, etc
- Make recommendations for promotional opportunities at account
- Identify margin improvement opportunities
- Make recommendations for new products and category opportunities
- Work closely with in store service team
- Work closely with management team on special projects including new products, BOD, process improvement, etc
- Integrate brick & mortar .com business with store sales
- Optimize the OMNI channel experience for WS and customers
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Assist with other accounts as need and assigned by manager
Successful Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Retail sales and merchandise experience or business experience required
- Customer service, marketing, and sales experience
- Proficient skills in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
- Ability to travel 50-60% of the time (including potential nights and weekends)
- Organized with strong analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Team player who is comfortable with changing environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Independent Worker with minimal supervision
- 7+ Year’s business experience
