This Correspondent Business Development Executive (CBDE) – Non LatAm role is responsible for growing existing relationships, developing new relationships and negotiating improved terms with Correspondent Payer partners in Non LatAm territories.
The position requires the incumbent to gather market conditions and intelligence, develop action plans, and collaborate with the Payer Integration, Correspondent Administration, Marketing, Sales, and Treasury teams to work achieving the established company goals (i.e. growth, profitability, market share, etc.).
Duties and Responsabilities
- Technical/Functional
- Serve as a liaison between Viamericas and its Non LatAm payer partners
- Manage the day-to-day Non LatAm payer relationship, including; payer inquiries, payer credentialing, management of payer report/communications.
- Lead joint operation committee meetings, and research and communicate payer policy changes.
- Perform analysis and reporting on payer contracts.
- Maintain a repository of key documents, summary files, and historical accounts of contracts and communications.
- Develop and maintain payment related tools such as payer rate grids and fee schedule comparison databases.
- Respond to contract related inquiries within established time frames and work independently to identify and correct issues related to contract performance.
- Strategic
- The CBDE will be focused on building client relationships, executing a vision around strategic initiative, and driving sales success throughout the portfolio.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities by establishing, maintaining, and enhancing long-term relationships.
- Deliver on overall revenue budget for assigned portfolio.
- Coordinating with Sales and Marketing, identify customer needs/market opportunities and grow revenue share across the portfolio.
- Liaise and coordinate with other departments such as product management, technical services, marketing, etc.
- Acquire and maintain market, product, and services knowledge.
- Coordinate with Revenue Management to assure contract compliance and troubleshoot reimbursement issues.
- Serve as project manager and participant in the development, implementation, monitoring and management of payer agreements.
- Participate in payer credentialing and provides support to escalate credentialing issues.
- Participate in financial analysis of contractual rates with payers, adverse trends, terms and provides appropriate conclusions.
- Provide data and intelligence to support fact-based negotiations with payers.
- Assemble information and prepare materials for presentation to internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform special projects and other duties as requested.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or equivalent is required.
- 5+ years of professional experience in the international money transfer industry.
- Extensive experience building relationships with financial institutions and/or partners involved in the money transfer business with a deep and long standing background in business development and order flow management.
- Strong Senior-level relationships with major payout entities across South Asia, Southeast Asia, and Africa.
- Experience in order flow management and resolving order flow management issues with payers across South Asia, Southeast Asia, and Africa.
- Excellent understanding of payer contract policies and procedures
- Experience with go-to market strategies and execution of product launches.
- Excellent written and verbal communications.
- Extensive cross-team collaboration experience, working with operational, sales teams and management.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
Working Conditions
- Hybrid office work. Frequent travel (foreign and domestic) is required up to 60%.
