Responsibilities
- Responsible for specialized care of flooring in large facility including but not limited to cleaning, waxing, stripping, buffing, vacuuming, mopping, and testing
- Responsible for scheduled maintenance of ESD (electrostatic discharge) flooring
- Ensures assigned equipment is in proper working order and available for use, informing Director when supplies, maintenance or repair is needed
- Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform maintenance and service
- Ability to address or anticipate potential floor care needs, informing Director
- Is familiar with and follows all safety standards throughout facility
- Participates on emergency preparedness planning team when necessary
- May handle other general, cleaning or maintenance duties that arise
Requirements
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Able to utilize Microsoft Office Suite or related software necessary to create and maintain reports and logs
- Must understand basic operation of a computer in order to received and send emails
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Prolonged periods standing and walking throughout facilities
- Must be able to lift up to 25+ pounds at times
- Must be able to bend, lift, stretch, climb, and crawl (sometimes in confined spaces) to maintain equipment and buildings
- Must be able to perform work in a variety of weather conditions
Experience
- At least 3 years of related experience in floor cleaning required
- ESD floor experience is a plus
Position Type, Schedule, and Travel
This is a full-time position. Work schedule is Monday through Friday, starting between 9 p.m. - 5 a.m. Occasional weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Overtime is optional.
