Title:  Senior Program Scheduler (EMEA)


The senior program scheduler (EMEA) will provide hands on support to the regional program and project oversight for the planning of datacenter projects most notably in the EMEA region. We are looking for a proven, technical self-starter that can support multidisciplinary teams in delivering their projects on time. This will mean that the senior program scheduler interfaces with our strategic partners to ensure that the construction schedule is up to date and accurate. The senior project scheduler will also be a sparring partner for the project schedulers for each of the projects that EdgeConneX (ECX) is carrying out in the region.

This position reports into our internal EMEA Program Management team.

Primary Responsibilities


  • Responsible for all EdgeConneX program and project schedules in the EMEA Region. Work with CM Firm / GC to have resilient, effective and proper project schedules in place and develop and maintain an EMEA wide master program schedule
  • Support Engineering and PMO in gathering and clarifying customer requirements
  • Track scope changes, emerging project/schedule/program risks, and report these to the VP of PMO EMEA and support identification of solutions and contingency plans to mitigate the impact.
  • Provide high-quality, recurring and ad-hoc, verbal and written reports to customers, lenders, and internal management
  • Track project deployment progress via contractor interviews, site photos, and on-site data gathering 
  • Work with CM Firm / GC to help create a safe working environment, by scheduling for safety.
  • Conduct the required project schedule analysis, critical path analysis and schedule risk analysis for the project.
  • Actively monitor and communicate any possible project issues that could delay the schedule, to the respective project manager
  • Analyse variance and baseline deviation from schedule, highlight bottlenecks, impacts, and propose corrective actions.
  • Perform probabilistic analysis on the integrated schedules and assist in formulating mitigation plans to resolve the project risk.
  • Participate in Regional enterprise program planning, project scheduling improvement initiatives and sharing best practices.
  • Prepare and update progress schedule reports as required by the customer

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities


  • Fluent proficiency in English as well as other European languages.
  • Strong communications, both written and verbal, in coordinating and working together with peers and other disciplines on driving projects/issues to closure
  • Thorough understanding of datacenter construction practices and project sequencing.
  • Strong understanding of construction terms, processes, and contractor roles
  • Experience with >$200M project/program management, developing processes, procedures and reporting, and analysis of such to enhance deliverables to customers
  • Proficient knowledge of computer environment including Microsoft applications such as Microsoft Project Pro, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Mastery of Primavera Cloud
  • Ability to execute quantitative schedule risk analysis for a project as well as understanding of the process to interpret and act on the output of these analyses.
  • A background in project controls is a great asset
  • Self-starter with positive attitude and strong emotional intelligence
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, globally diverse environment
  • Superb ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/responsibilities
  • Ability to manage stakeholders effectively and aligning them to the organizations needs

  • Ability to meet committed timelines, leveraging assistance/input from peers
  • Attention to details and a strong commitment to safety
  • Capable of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously

Experience/Education


  • Proven 7+ years experience in the Data Center industry, Construction or Real Estate industries as a scheduler 
  • Distinct Ability to comprehensively build a complex schedule from scratch take into the many risks in building large structures from the ground up
  • Expertise in executing QSRAs
  • Bachelor of Science or equivalent degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred
  • A professional planner / scheduler certification such as Certified Planning Engineer (CPE), Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP), PMI Scheduling Profession (PMI-SP) or equivalent

Travel/Location


  • 25 - 50% with the flexibility to travel on short notice.
  • Travel would likely be on the lower side if based in Amsterdam - Dublin, Ireland would be a secondary ideal location
