SUMMARY: The Warehouse Operations Clerk is responsible for ensuring that all shipping and receiving documents and outbound routes are completed accurately and in a timely fashion. The Warehouse Operations Clerk communicates with supervisors, employees and customers as required and in conjunction with warehouse operations.
THIS SHIFT IS MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY NIGHT, SHIFT STARTS AT 4PM.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinates receiving and shipping documents, verifying accuracy.
Gathers and maintains all data and records relative to shipping and receiving activities.
Verifies accuracy on shipping orders and shipping quantities matching picking documents.
Assists in resolving discrepancies.
Collects all documentation for inbound freight and route to the proper record keeping unit.
Provides assistance on special projects at the discretion of the Warehouse Supervisor or senior management.
Answers and routes all telephone calls in a polite manner, taking messages and routing to proper individual in a timely manner.
Prepares, maintains and issue voice pick equipment to selectors. Clean and sanitize equipment when returned to store. Rotate and charge batteries for headsets and handheld units.
Facilitate outbound order assignment process.
Ensure timely closure of routes by maintaining and adjusting workflow within WMS system.
Assign shorts, seafood, chemicals, shuttles between locations as needed to complete routes by set dispatch times or priority routes designated by routing department.
Invoice routes when completed.
Other duties as assigned by management.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Strong computer knowledge including Microsoft Office applications.
Basic typing skills
Familiarity with 10-key
Shipping software systems including UPS and Federal Express
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent customer service skills

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Must be able to work in varying facility conditions and temperatures.
Prior experience using a warehouse management system, preferably AS400 or similar operating system.
Ability and availability to work irregular or extended hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
