Sr. Director, Operations Strategy and Control
The Senior Director of Operations Strategy and Control is responsible for leading the overall business strategy and first line of defense control environment for Operations, across multiple product lines of business. They will be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of operational initiatives designed to drive growth, reduce delinquency and losses, enhance the customer experience, and drive profitability while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. They will have direct oversight over teams responsible for executing analytic-based strategies along the full customer life cycle, including Application Servicing, Verifications, Digital Servicing, Collections, and Recovery. They will also lead the teams responsible for Dialer and Workforce Management strategy and execution, capacity planning, delinquency forecasting, reporting, and Operational Risk and Control.Keys to success in this role include strong product knowledge, keen understanding of enterprise risks, the ability to decipher analytical trends and observations to make strategic recommendations, strong stakeholder management, and executive presence.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Operational Strategy:Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to optimize operations successful outcomes, including loan originations, digital engagement, operational efficiency, delinquency, and losses. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and streamline processes and enhance efficiency while maintaining a superior customer experience.Reporting and Analysis:Establish robust reporting mechanisms to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), track portfolio trends, and assess the effectiveness of operational processes.
Utilize data-driven insights to identify opportunities for improvement and drive informed decision-making at all levels of the organization.Risk Management and Control:Design and implement rigorous controls to mitigate operational risks and establish a strong first line of defense control environment. Drive effective change management throughout Operations. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices by cultivating a strong partnership with 2nd Line of defense oversight functions.Operations Leadership:Contribute to the strategic direction of the Operations function by being a part of the COO’s leadership team and providing intuitive thought leadership around product, company, industry, and macro-economic trends and emerging risks. Team Leadership:Provide strong leadership and direction to a diverse team of strategy and control professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning. Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and capabilities in support of organizational objectives.Stakeholder Management:Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, business units, risk management, and compliance functions. Serve as a trusted advisor on consumer lending matters, communicating insights and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
Qualifications:
·Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.·Proven track record of success in consumer lending roles, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in operational leadership positions.·Strong understanding of lending products, processes, and regulatory requirements, particularly in the consumer finance industry.·Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives, drive process improvements, and achieve measurable results.·Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and develop actionable insights.·Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.$175,000 - $250,000 a yearIn addition to semi-monthly salary payments, this position is also eligible for an annual incentive bonus based on individual and company performance. Yearly incentive bonus target 30% of base salary.
This position may also be eligible for a long-term cash and/or equity incentives.
