POSITION SUMMARY:
We are currently seeking a proactive and experience on-site Purchasing specialist who can become an integral member of the team. Under the general direction of the Vice President, the incumbent will manage all aspects of the Purchasing function enterprise-wide.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages Purchasing department, ensuring all team members work in compliance within designated Purchasing policies and procedures.Negotiates with vendors for goods and services, negotiating the best possible price and service guarantee.Establishes purchasing policies and best practices. Develops new supply sources where vendors are inadequate.Receives and reviews orders. Maintains detailed documentation log regarding orders and inventory.Grants approval for department heads to purchase goods or services.Analyzes changes or new issues in supplies to find ways to reduce costs and improve quality of purchased materials.Places purchase orders for internal ABC Imaging shops and client sites nationwide. Other duties as necessary.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.At least 8 years relevant work experience required.Proficient knowledge (4+ years experience) of purchasing software.Extensive experience with negotiation.Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and make quick decisions.Highly developed organizational skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Windows OS.This position requires the use of standard office equipment.This position may require infrequent lifting of supplies not exceeding approximately twenty (20) pounds.
