ARETUM, a leading government contracting company specializing in technology-enabled mission support services, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nutrition Technologist/SME to join our team. As a Nutrition Technologist/SME at ARETUM, you will play a critical role in providing expertise and support in the field of nutrition to our clients.ARETUM is known for providing cutting-edge solutions and outstanding service to Federal clients in various sectors, including Next Generation Analytics, Engineering Services, Training Services, IT Systems, Cyber Security, PMO Support, and Financial Consulting.

Responsibilities
- Develop electronic newsletters and promotions for dissemination in GovDelivery
- Develop nutrition content for Twitter
- Administer webinars (create registrations, upload slides, provide technical assistance, verify and maintain records of attendance, correspond with webinar attendees regarding participation certificates) using ReadyTalk and WebEx platforms.
- Create, edit, and/or finalize content and materials for electronic communications, presentations, and social media.
- Respond to customer service inquiries received through the Team Nutrition Mailbox.
- Develop, publish, and promote new nutrition education and technical assistance resources and materials.
- Review and update existing nutrition education and technical assistance resources and materials to ensure content aligns with updated CNP policy and the Dietary Guidelines for Americans.
- Review language resources for accuracy, consistency with the Team Nutrition glossary, readability, and to assess cultural appropriateness
- Develop PowerPoint presentations on nutrition-related topics
- Knowledge of and experience with the following:
- Dietetics; Nutrition Guidelines
- 508 compliances
- Proficient nutrition writing and communication skills
- Writing for audiences with varying literacy skills.
- Understanding of Child Nutrition Programs meal patterns
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or graduate/higher level degree in the fields of dietetics, food, nutrition, food service management, public health, health education, or a related field required. Registered Dietitian certification is strongly preferred.
- Federal Experience Strongly Preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience implementing or working with the Federal Child Nutrition Programs, including the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), School Breakfast Program (SPB), NSLP Afterschool Snack Service, Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), and/or Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) at the national, state, or local level.
- Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, Teams, and Excel).
- Demonstrated proficiency with nutrition communications, to include writing for audiences with varying literacy skills, and understanding of 508 compliances.
- Demonstrated proficiency utilizing collaboration and project management software (such as Microsoft Teams collaboration tool).
- Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of attention to detail, organization skills, and customer service (i.e. working with internal and external stakeholders to assess needs, provide assistance, resolve issues).
- Strong proficiency related to oral communication and interpersonal skills (i.e. expressing information to individuals or groups effectively, assessing target audience communication needs, applying strong listening skills).
- Experience in developing content for social media platforms and electronic newsletters.
- Experience in coordinating webinars and managing webinar platforms.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of:
- The National School Lunch and Breakfast Program
- Communicating orally and in writing in English
- Nutrition communications for K-12 schools
- Web communications
- Webinar platforms
- Demonstrated knowledge of plain language principles for nutrition, understanding of low-income audiences, and School Nutrition Professionals
- Experience using GovDelivery, ReadyTalk, WebEx, Hootsuite, Twitter Analytics, the Government Printing Office Style Manual, and Adobe Creative Suite (including Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator).
