We are seeking an experienced
Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE). The ISSE is the person in an organization who determines system security requirements. The ISSE also designs the security layout or architecture and determines required security tools and existing tool functionality.This role resides in our MPO SETA group and reports to our Vice President of Program Communications. This position is on site at Fort Meade, Maryland, with VERY minimal, if any, travel (Note: any travel will be local)SIXGEN supports cyber and intelligence missions by serving government and commercial organizations as they overcome global cybersecurity challenges.

Our highly skilled operators conduct research and assessments based on real-world threats. We simulate adversaries and malicious actors to report details and actionable findings on critical assets and infrastructures. Our program planners advise mission owners to bring rapid solutions to intelligence mission leaders. Using innovative processes, tools, and techniques, we predict and overcome cybersecurity vulnerabilities. Our successes are supported by our diverse team of experienced, technical talent.   • Fourteen years experience as an ISSE on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity required. 
  • DoD 8570.01-M compliance with IASAE Level 2 or higher is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • CISSP Certification is required.
  • Four years of ISSE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

  • Job Location: Fort Meade (specific building TBD) or Ellicott City, Maryland
  • Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI with Polygraph (Full Scope Preferred, CI may be allowed)
  • Travel: Minimal, if any
