The Senior Director of Technical Services is a talented leader and team builder that will be strategically expanding our territorial coverage while deepening our bench of talent and skill in alignment with our client solutions offering.In addition, this position will lead, plan, develop, direct, and evaluate all aspects of AEM Technical Services. This includes setting strategic direction, establishing standards that ensure optimal operational performance and meeting revenue/profitability targets. This position will provide leadership and direction on a cross functional basis and will report to the Chief Operating Officer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Recruit, develop and retain talent and provide ongoing leadership for the Technical Services organization
- Define the key skills and roles within services organization in order to foster a culture of collaboration and accountability
- Lead the development and implementation of strategic direction and operational plan ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives
- Establish performance metrics and monitor effectiveness of overall operation; lead the development & implementation of solutions to increase operational efficiency and customer solutions in multiple served markets.
- Establish and lead organizational objectives that facilitate the development of policies and procedures to achieve organization's cost, revenue, and service objectives.
- Development of the organization’s annual operating budget and management of expenses within the plan and any forecast updates throughout the year.
- Establish organization's structure and determine short and long-term personnel and resource requirements necessary to achieve objectives.
- Ensure talent management objectives are achieved including employee development plans, development of bench strength, and performance management process
- Ensure organization has appropriate connection with the commercial team and customer base to facilitate accurate understanding of customer requirements and identification of opportunities to improve services or deliver new services.
- Provide leadership and direction in establishing a world-class safety culture.
This job description may not be inclusive of all assigned duties, responsibilities, or aspects of the job described, and may be amended at any time at the sole discretion of the Employer.Requirements• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training in engineering, electronics, meteorology, business administration or a relevant field.• 10+ years of technical/field service experience and leadership,• Track record of demonstrated sound project management, customer support operations, technical service operations, and financial management skills • PMP certification would be preferred • Demonstrated complex problem-solving ability and sound judgement• Excellent oral and written communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to build credibility and trust inside and outside the Company• Coordination and ability to drive results across other functions is essential• Proven ability to build and develop high performing teams, excellent delegation, and conflict resolution skills• Ability and willingness to travel up to 30% of the time, both domestically and internationallyAdditional Information: · This is an on-site opportunity that can be done from anywhere in the continental United States. · Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

US Compensation Range: A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $150,000 - $190,000 per year.
