Are you a skilled and detail oriented Scenic Artist or Set Designer looking for a new challenge? Are you interested in working in a highly collaborative studio with great teammates? Are you ready to work in a fun, well appointed and creative studio environment? As a Scenic Artisan with Aardvark Studios…You will work closely with Design Engineers, Project Management and Design teams to create top quality assets that will be used in experiential marketing, exhibitions or installations for our clients.
QUALIFICATIONS:
What makes you the ideal candidate:
- 5+ years of experience working in a company (not freelance) in scenic painting, mold making, casting, and fiberglass work.
- Preferred experience in sculpture, theater, and/or exhibit fabrication .
- Knowledge of various finishing techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret complex shop drawings.
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, action-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to work overtime on Fridays and weekends as needed.
- Experience working with a wide variety of materials.
- Creative problem-solving abilities.
- A strong moral compass and willingness to do what it takes to exceed client expectations
- Ability to work productively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for building
What else is helpful:
- Familiarity with modern fabrication tools and equipment is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with a team.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials safely.
- Basic carpentry skills are helpful.
