WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Functional Finance Team is an integral part of the worldwide Finance organization, providing insight supported by meaningful and accurate financial information to help guide and influence the decision-making process. The team partners with the leadership of our Global Functions, senior finance management, and local, regional and global finance colleagues across the organization
Role and Responsibility
- Involvement in Yearly/Quarterly Budget & Forecast preparations & revisions.
- Comparing Production Plan vs Actual Output and estimating the Under/Over absorption for the month-based current output level.
- Control the abnormal transactions and keep the exceptions & report to Management.
- BOQ & BOM validation vs Actual materials usage (Knowledge on Shop Drawings reading will be a added advantage)
- Closely work with Planning & Production team on the performance to know the performance impact on Financials.
- Identify and analyze manufacture variances, inventory adjustments and provide root causes for corrective actions.
- Perform weekly review calls with Factory Personnel & Management to notify the performance impact and improvement solutions.
- Identify the Inventory levels and excess & obsolete stock based on the current demand with each factory.
- Monitoring on the Physical vs system stock getting tied out on weekly basis for major Materials, review the cycle count result before adjusting in SAP
- Standard cost monitoring on Materials and Overheads
- Review on Realized PPV against actuals and unrealized PPV against Open PO on weekly basis.
- Prepare inter-company reconciliation, including mark-up schedule and inter-company cost transactions differences.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing functions that pertain to Sales, Cost of Sales and Manufacturing Variances. Prepare detailed Cost, Sales and Inventory reconciliation.
- Record the Month-end related journal entries and required accruals for standard and non-standard expenses.
- Produce monthly / quarterly reports, which include key metrics, financial results, and variance reporting as required by the business for strategic inferences and decision making.
- Ensure timely & qualitative performance of month-end and during the month activities related to Inventory & Cost Accounting and Reporting –Plant Closing, Pre & Post Close Analysis, ad-hoc business queries etc.
- Provide required support to Regional Business Analysts / Finance Managers / Controllers as and when required.
- Provide support in timely preparation of Metrics, Dashboards, KPI’s for reporting to Management.
- Prepare business performance repots against the budgets and targets
- Drive Process improvements and keeping SOP documentation up-to-date.
- Ensure adherence to all applicable Internal Controls (SOX & non-SOX) and provide necessary support for smooth completion of Internal & External Audits.
- Leveraging pool of Analysts to provide full day-to-day operational, reporting, analysis and financial planning support across the function
- Playing a critical role as a thought partner with management, collaborating on business milestones and outcomes, and leveraging innovative analysis on historical data to inform and influence future business decisions
- Driving plan discussions and provide direct leverage to the Senior Manager going into plan review with executive firm leadership
- Coaching and mentoring of the team
- Reporting automation and innovation, Continuous improvements, simplification and optimization, Efficiency and Cost Savings improvement contribute towards Value creation.
- Measure inventory movement and performance as well as calculate the inventory reserve based on corporate policies.
- Maintain knowledge and keep abreast of new financial regulations or policies.

Additional Responsibilities include:
- Assist with the preparation of the annual audit, including work papers and schedules.
- Assist departmental and operating personnel in resolving cost issues, including cost discrepancies, account coding, and variances.
- Assist in increasing the timeliness and accuracy of analyses.
- Ability to succeed in a team environment.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs and requirements.
- Must be able to work well under pressure and have a strong understanding of business processes and systems.
- Develop models that help with decision-making.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple teams spread over different countries, centers, and time zones.
- Well organized& time management skills.
Skills
- SAP FICO/MM/SD/PP/PJ Modules added advantage.
- Excel certified candidates preferable
- Proficient desktop/spreadsheet/database skills
- Proficient organizational and problem-solving skills
- Must possess strong & effective written and verbal communication & presentation skills.
- Comfort liaising with business and risk partners while building and maintaining relationships
- Ability to understand business drivers and requirements and influence others to deliver solutions
Academic Qualification
- CA – Qualified & CA-Inter, CMA(CWA) – Qualified & Inter.
- Bachelors Degree or MBA in Finance & Accounting
- Basic knowledge of industry standards and regulations
