Position:
Recruiting Specialist
Overview:
ITC requires a full-time employee to support Business Growth and Operations in Huntsville, Alabama by performing recruiting, HR support tasks, and supporting the ITC office in Huntsville, AL.
Responsibilities:
- Meet with Hiring Managers and Human Resources to have a full-scale understanding of hiring needs and available positions within the company
- Actively work toward building a diverse and qualified tech team to support the organization
- Participate in meetings with hiring managers to determine vacant tech-related positions and the preferred attributes for potential hires
- Conduct self-driven research to better understand program and job technical requirements
- Conduct preliminary interviews using standardized screening techniques to assess candidates' skills, qualifications, experience, and to gauge interest, personality, and salary requirements.
- Provide feedback to management about details regarding applications.
- Coordinate the recruitment process, including pre-offer and post-offer activities as defined in the process.
- Participate in the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
- Assess job boards for new applicants, screen resumes, and search for potential hires.
- Post new job descriptions in the ATS and cold call target hires.
- Communicate to hiring managers and/or recruiting manager the fit and priority of candidates.
- Follow up with candidates through the hiring process.
- Extend offers to candidate and “close the deal” on hiring.
- Follow ITC HR and Recruiting processes.
- Record all notes and activities in the ITC Applicant Tracking System and SharePoint site
- Conduct surveys to determine employee satisfaction with recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Support the management of Outsourced Recruiting Company relationships.
Support Huntsville Office Operations and Business Development
- Assist with management of Huntsville office and operations
- Attend local meetings as assigned (i.e. Chamber of Commerce, HASBAT, Accelerator, Catalyst)
- Attend local marketing events as assigned (SMD Symposium, Cyber Summit)
- Assist with marketing tasks as assigned
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years of previous relevant experience
- Experience conducting cold calls
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to research and integrate data.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and applications
- Ability to learn and use corporate applications (CRM and ATS)
- Ability to learn and enforce ITC policies and processes
- Willingness to learn recruiting skills specific to ITC culture and job market
- Must be detail oriented
- Must be willing to work in the Huntsville office a minimum of 16 hours per week (during normal business operations)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with workforce development or teaching experience
- Experience supporting a DoD Contractor
- Experience or exposure to HR Processes
- Experience or exposure to Marketing to DoD customers
- Bachelor’s degree
